What colours a black box on a plane?
We did it at an u17`s presentation night and the highest score was 4 out of 10 and there were all ages there
Thanks Susan. Love your sweet cake btw!
Rufus - gorgeous bear!!
Nothing on email from Gadget Shop - I'll give them until next Friday and then I'll email them to see what's going on. My order isn't listed in the history section of my account with them either. Ho hum.
Going to have my nice 'Me' evening tomorrow - going to make lasagne during the day and me and DD will have it for tea (will be her first taste of it - mashed lasagne, yummy! lol) and then once she's in bed I'm going to have ice cream, possibly play Monkey Island, and also pull out my cross stitch stuff as I'd like to design a card for a friend who's due to give birth soon!
Then it's apple pie and raspberry jam making on Sunday!
Hope you all have lovely weekends planned!

Hello all :j
Quite pleased with myself today...........finished off fabric hearts and trees, looped ribbon at the top and stitched it on with button -found corrugated card box and managed to arrange them so the red of the hearts, the ribbon and button show through the circles that were cut in the box(I'd had some floating candles in it)
Very mse the whole lot........fabric was free samples, ribbon came from the inside of jumpers/cardigans in my wardrobe and the buttons were mums :T -Just need to put something in it now to hang them off.
Some more lavender dried out so have to sort out a little bag to put it in.
Not finished off craft drawers yet (they just want some wax on the drawers so they slide in and out better) but that'll be on next weeks list -if I can fit it in between meetings and a training course I'm booked to go on;)
Rufus - love the little teddy !I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
(previously known as mary43)0 -
Rufus - the teddy is fantastic! Was he difficult to make?
Susan - I love the sweetie 'cake' too, it must have taken ages to make. Did he like it?
Dramarama - jewellery would be small and easy to post. Asda often have sales and you can pick up really nice jewellery sets for a few pounds.
Toffeeapple - that fudge looks delicious! I made some plain fudge a few days ago. It was my first attempt and it came out really well, I was expecting a disaster! I think I'll try out the one you recommend as it looks so nice. Was it easy to make?Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -

Evening everyone!
I agree about the sweetie cake - very nice! Made my teeth start aching though looking at it!
I've put my free blackberries foraged yesterday into blackberry and apple gin. First attempt at this, yesterdays looks a lovely purple shade - will be ready in 8-10 weeks time!
Tomorrow is apricot and prune late summer chutney, runner bean pickle (first attempt) and maybe I'll get around to making some picalilli at long last if I can find enough ingredients to make it!
Then that's about it. Ticking off all the ingredients on my list for the chutney and christmas baking - almost there now, just a few items left to get now.
Will have to start on the christmas cards next month. Have the decopage toppers already made from last year when I got a bit carried away making up lots. Shouldn't take too long
Next events are my birthday and mum's anniversary present (same day) still a month to go. Then see if the ex gets me a present and have a think about what to get him or a card. Full steam ahead after October to finish off the chutney making, make some mincemeat and see if anyone at work would like the buy a cake for christmas then make them!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
I'm a bit disappointed.
I went to make my chilli jam and OH had bought the long thin pointed peppers thinking they were chilli's. So I have to get some tomorrow now.
On the Gadgetshop front - I placed an order on the 27th and the money has been taken out of my paypal account so fingers crossed it's been dispatched. The order I placed yesterday morning, the payment is still pending. I was in two minds whether to place the order or not in the first place, because when I placed the first order, I went through quidco but it never tracked at all. When I placed my order yesterday, they aren't on quidco now and hundreds and hundreds of things on there were OOS. Fingers crossed they are just changing warehouses (like it says on the site) and not going bankrupt. :eek:I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hello everyone
Just popped on to see what everybody's been up to and you've all been far more busy than me! Now it's the weekend and I've finally been paid I might get round to buying a few bits for my sister's Christmas box. I'm hoping to find a nice jar to fill up with "retro" sweets for her or bubblegum as she is a big fan.I saw some sweet boxes in a catalogue today and they are way more expensive than what you could make them for yourself.
A quarter of . com (sorry, not allowed to post links yet!) is a great website for stocking up on sweets, they have loads of different stuff- some I had forgotten about because I hadn't seen them for so long!
Fedupandskint - I will get the pickle recipe for you ASAP. Think it's in a book back at my flat so when I get back I will put it on here.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.0 -
WOW! Cookie crumbs I just looked at that site, theres tonnes on there!
Was going to do a retro sweets jar for best friends boyfriend but I saw this http://www.aquarterof.co.uk/large-retro-sweet-hamper-p-151107.html and love that there is a comic and a whoopee cushion as well as the sweets so going to do that. Be a bit cheaper than £65 though!:eek:Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Hi
You might want to have a look at Archie Macphee. It's an American site, and you have to spend over $50 for an international order and shipping is half your final price on top of that. But if you're making a big order and the exchange rate is good they have some fantastic bubble gum. I got full boxes of 48 packs of ninja and monkey gum for two of my friends a couple of years ago and gave out Super Genius gum with my "I finished my thesis and you may now call me Doctor" announcements. $75 is a bit of a commitment, but if the exchange rate is good it goes a long way.
For some reason their parcels to me have never been stopped by the customs people either *shrug* but it's always a risk.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
