There were loads of those types of things in the Studio Christmas Catalogue. We missed out on that with DD. She was Due mid December and at one point I had an appointment for her to be induced on the 24th December!!!! lol So we refrained from getting any 'baby's first christmas' stuff just incase! Luckily one of our friends got us a lovely white puppy cuddly toy saying 'baby's first christmas' so we have something.
mum2one - at what age did you give Miss Hoodie her bracelets? What age did she appreciate them and look after them?
Sorry Angela!! lol
Mary - sounds fab. Never been to Scotland - it's on my to-do list!!

She had the gold in her jewellery box, but there on high shelf in the wardrobe, she was about 4 or 5 when she wanted to wear it, her silver one shes seen more of it, sounds daft, but introduced her to her, last yr in Tunisia, she was 6 1/2, and she was choosing charms.
She had a silver necklace, forever friends and chewed it, but then again, as a child I always bit my rings, I had my 1st gold at 11 and treasured it. She'll wear jewellery now, and ok with it. Shes sold some of her christening jewellery and a couple of rings, she treasures a few pieces, when she was 6 mths old, I brought her a gold dolphin necklace, it was the 1st time she'd been horse racing, from my winnings, but becoz theres a sentimetal attached to it, not allowed near it. Shes got good taste, be expensive for some man.
With her silver charms, shes had 2 from Orient Express, and some from Tunisia have been egyptian theme, loves the pyramids, sort of been led by that.

I soooooooo wish I had known about this thread at the start of the year! Is it too late to join now? I am hoping to have an offset Christmas this year, or at least 50% of it offset, so need to get my finger out!
Borrowed a kids craft book from the library today, with a view to getting the kids started on cards and gifts and it was so good I bought a second hand copy on amazon for £2 (rrp £10) so will get started next week hopefully.
Will try to complete the challenges from this point on if that will work? Not sure if it matters that I've missed most of the year? Will DEF sign of at the beginning of next year though!Sealed pot 3 challenge number 10080 -
Hi and welcome Supa-girl  I hope you enjoy it here!
I've had so much fun today! We had a very MSE trip out that I found out about on the Netmums website. Our local country park held a free teddy bear's picnic so we took DS along with his favourite teddy - very originally named pink ted. It's the girliest, fluffiest, bright pink teddy that used to belong to my Mum, but DS saw it and fell in love with it so she gave it to him, he's not even slightly concerned that it's so girly! Anyway, we took DS and pink ted to the park and had our picnic. They had an entertainer, a man making balloon animals (DS got an elephant) and someone dressed up as Winnie the Pooh! The best bit was the teddy parade where all the kids lined up with their teddies. They then gave out prizes and certificates for various things, pink ted got 2nd place for scruffiest bear :rotfl:DS got a lovely certificate and big frog cuddly toy, he's so pleased. A lovely day out and all for the price of a £1.10 car park ticket.
After the picnic we went to Tesco and doubled up the clubcard vouchers. I got £40 worth of toys for free, yeay! I love the double up deals. Everything we got is for DS, either birthday or Christmas so I feel like I'm doing well with his prezzies now.Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -
Oh, just remembered something else! In Tesco they have the big flexy tubs reduced to £2.50, from over £5. I bought 2 for storing bigger toys but they'd be great containers for gift hampers. Here's a link to the set of 3 on the Tesco site, but the cheaper price doesn't show online: http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-8033.aspxMaking money for Christmas 2012!0
