that is so true studio mag is christmas !!!!!! ha ha especially to us mse'ers.
I'm getting excited for christmas, gonna watch christmas with the cranks some time soon. My fave christmas film. Going to order a few pressies off half cost soon and a new duvet cover for dd as well, there's a bolt one for a fiver, I always get brand new bedding for christmas eve, one of hubbies fave things is chrisp new sheets. They also have a simpsons windscreen cover for 3 pounds I will get for hubby and dad maybe and I fancy getting the star projector for dd at 4pounds. It is FF15 for discount isn't it?? wish I knew if there was a free delivery week coming up!
This year I am going to make some cards for family. Planning on quite plain cards but copying pictures of the bairns in santa hats onto card and then mounting onto the cards. I want to do in black and white and photo shop the pictures to add red to just their hats and the rest be black and white. I think it will look nice.

Off to London this weekend where I think I'll be popping into Selfridges and Harrods to see what goodies they have. I'm really after a 'Baby's first christmas' teddy or bauble for our arrival in October-are their Xmas things in store yet?

There were loads of those types of things in the Studio Christmas Catalogue. We missed out on that with DD. She was Due mid December and at one point I had an appointment for her to be induced on the 24th December!!!! lol So we refrained from getting any 'baby's first christmas' stuff just incase! Luckily one of our friends got us a lovely white puppy cuddly toy saying 'baby's first christmas' so we have something.

mum2one - at what age did you give Miss Hoodie her bracelets? What age did she appreciate them and look after them?

    Sorry Angela!! lol

Mary - sounds fab. Never been to Scotland - it's on my to-do list!!

Have to say I wish my parents had done the charm bracelet thing for me when I was young. At the age of 21 this was the only thing I wanted for my birthday, a gold charm bracelet with a gold charm to symbolise 21. I want to add charms for special occasions throughout my life so that when I am old and wrinkly I can show it off and tell the story of the charms to my grandchildren. At the age of 24 I now have 3 (have had two graduations since getting it) so its a slow process building it up but Ive got a lifetime :D.

I would suggest not getting any branded ones (shops are full of Pandora, troll beads etc) as these are popular now but who is to say these companys will still be around in 20 years?

Also I know you said silver but do consider gold too, Ive been told that if I ever find myself about to go ont he streets at least I will have some gold to sell hahaha Saying that though my poor dad forked out a fortune for my graduation charm for it :S.

Hi everyone, you lot have been so busy since I last popped my head in (back in April I think ) Sorry I have been absent, been so busy with so much to do and sort out but we are getting there slowly but surely, and I wont disappear this time, I promise :p

So that's alot of pages to catch up on!

Well, I am super organised, most presents have been bought except for hubby but I have a few bits set aside for him so far. Will be making some bits for Christmas too so need lots of inspiration.

    Hope everyone is well?

Blimey Savvy - you might have been AWOL but you are certainly oganised. I think I've only bought a handfull of pressies since you've been gone!

Sainsbury's online have 25% off toys at the mo. I added a Puzzleball in the shape of a globe to my basket (for DD2) while I went and compared prices elsewhere. It was £20 without £5 off so cost £15. At Smyths, Argos and Toys R Us it's £25 so I saved a tenner on that alone. :money:

    Hello all :j

Been whacked today after de-cluttering yesterday plus our lad laying havoc last night going out, getting drunk, coming in, then out again - then in............ This morning he was just sulky and ''woe is me'' kind of thing..........never mind my headache...........
Still, got my free wallpaper samples so got stuck in and made some notelets and birthday card for lad who used to live here so day not wasted totally.
Over on the freebie board there's a couple of links for free fabric samples if anyones interested for crafting............ordered mine but not sure how big they'll be.
Had a lot of rain today.....fingers crossed it changed for boot fair at the local school in the morning so I can go and have a little spend.........(just a little one)...........lol:rotfl:

elysia - never heard of a puzzle ball...........better google that I think
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I must confess that many presents were bought during sales and I picked up some fab little bits in the boots 75% clearance from last Christmas. I picked up some leather brag books for my mum, OHs Parents, OHs Nan and my Grandad and will be putting family photo's from the year in there. And we picked up some leather tree ornaments which we will be putting pics of our daughter in for relatives. Brag books I think were £1.25 each and the tree decs were 99p each which make great little keepsakes.

Sounds like you found some great bargains in Sainsbury's, my nearest only stocks a few small soft toys at half price, picked up a waybuloo toy for dd - typically the only ones not reduced.

Also worth keeping an eye out in boots as they are clearing alot of stock to make way for Christmas items, I picked up two french manicure sets for free with my no7 voucher on Wednesday saving £20.00. Will make lovely extra's for a pamper hamper :)

Mary - did you google it? It's a basically a jigsaw but it's a ball shape. It's quite esy to do really, as there is a simple way to put it together (cheat) LOL All the pieces are numbered. :rotfl:

Savvy - did you look online, most of the toys are 25% off and you can have free deilivery to store.
