Hi Supagirl, my daughter was also one this August and we were a little concerned about space too but she managed to get some nice bits and not too expensive either.

Her favourite toys were the playskool busy gears, she thinks it brilliant and took all the cogs off one by one then puts them all back on and presses the button and squeals with delight at the music lights and spinning cogs, highly recommended. She also loves her pop up smiley head building blocks (not sure what they were called! they are Fisher Price though).

Maybe you could buy a few books for bedtime storytime just for him, a special soft toy he can treasure, maybe some paint pens and lots of paper to do painting with and a development toy that he doesnt already have, a pull along toy or a push along stroller maybe?

Supergirl - poundland do Christmas stockings which can be made up by the kids. If I remember correctly there are usually two in a packet too.

    Morning everyone!

I had a day and a half yesterday. Not very MSE at all.

OH has decorated DD2's room. As it's so small we decided to get her a new bed, one of those high sleepers. Dismantled the old bed as the new one was coming in a couple of hours when I found out OH had spilt paint all over the carpet and was hoping I wouldn't notice. Off out to buy carpet we go. Fitted the carpet and put some furniture back in, and the leg falls off the wardrobe. Now need new wardrobe as it's not very stable. Argggghhhhhhhhhh. Ever had one of those days?

DD2's afternoon artclub has finished now (it's been on for the past four weeks). So now I have two more weeks left to occupy her and my neice ALL DAY. Arrggghhhh again! LOL. Just hoping for some nice weather now for a change so we can get out and have picnics and stuff. We've had a horrible holiday weather wise - just the odd nice day here and there.

Sorry for moaning - will do Christmassy stuff soon - will feel better then. :D

I have added this to my favourites, so I remember when it gets around to halloween. We usually have a party and it would be fun to get the kids to decorate these while they are here.

Thanks to everyone who has made suggestions for DS3 for Christmas, some good ideas and a few of the suggestions he doesn't have yet as hand me downs! :D

We are finally off the mark for Christmas!!! It is chucking it down here, so we whipped out the craft box while DS3 was napping, and DS2 and DD2 have whiled away a couple of hours making gift tags and cards. We've got cards in the shape of bags and skirts and all manner of gift tags. DS2 has made a fish book mark for his best friend and DD2 has made an interesting blue, yellow and pink bee! She is only 2 and point blank refused to listen to her brothers insistence that those are the wrong colours! :rotfl:

    Hi girls,

I'm going to have a craft week this week but need to get some supplies from eBay before I start as I think the only thing I have is pritt stick! I'm going to buy some blank wooden Xmas decorations and paint them and I'm going to have a go at making some sour dough and make some letters, spelling out Merry/Happy Christmas and paint them to hang off out mantlepiece.

I would love to make some felt stars/hearts etc and stitch them, but my sewing is rubbish, will see how I get on. I want to get a few bits made before baby arrives in about 8 weeks time.

As you can see I'm only doing easy projects and have seen these, which look easy to make but having trouble finding paper/card-I can only find plain card/paper, can anyone suggest anywhere that might do more Christmassy paper? I thought about wrapping paper, but think it'll be too thin.

    Star Garland- http://www.craftideas.info/html/stars_garland.html

    Hello all :j

kms26 - felt and foam..........not sure whether this would be any use but I bought some A4 sheets of foam from Poundland, found some fabric remnants in a charity shop(was going to use felt originally) and made some specs cases.......the fabric covers the foam so they're well padded. I just blanket stitched them round the edge -sewing not my strong point (not sure what is...........lol)
If I'd used the felt I'd have stuck some sort of decoration on it if it were for female.......maybe not for a man though. Hope that helps.

Done nothing ''crafty'' today..........just cleared a drawer out and found lots of fam.history bits and pieces I forgot I had..........spent the afternoon reading through them all...........so thats been my day;)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
