Hello all :j
Back from hospital and wasn't as bad as I thought - there was me looking forward (or not!!) to tubes up my nose, down my throat and all sorts ! Instead, nice boffin peared up my nose with some sort of mircroscope -nothing wrong there........peered into my ears -nothing wrong there.............next was hearind test........9 out of 10:T Not bad for an oldie I thought. Anyway boffin said Ive got tinnutis (bet I've spelt that wrong !) buzzing in the ears ...nothing can be done but he suggested having radio on and create other noises to distract from it. So.......all the ear drops, antibiotics, etc. were a waste of time !! Daft me got myself all worked up about nothing really..........lol:rotfl:
elysia - you didn't offend me...........don't be daft..........and thanks for the links. Love the bookmarks and bag. My son sent my presents in one of those last year he'd bought from a recycling shop. I've still got it and kept saying I'd have a go..........oh lor.....so many things yet to do. Did three more phone charms this afternoon so thats something.:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

thats another nice one £59.99

pass as to why it had to have such a big link - £19.99 - I've got that as my 2nd phone.
I've just pulled them off the Argos website, to give you a few ideas, tried a descent price range.
The fashion seems to be touchscreen, video, gd camera - and all 3 meet those needs.
I wanted the tocco (1st link) last yr, but it was £120 then so got a Samsung Genio - but thought I'd lost it, brought (2nd link), then found my phone so Miss Hoodie thought it was better than hers, so we swopped around, as she had the phone (link 3).
I wouldn't go too expensive, it might get lost, or stolen, not necessary your lad losing it, but other people.
Or you threaten him with this next one if you get a phone and he loses it!!!

Miss Hoodies shes nearly 8, but shes had a phone for 18months, more from a security point of view becoz of his side and their family and when mum had the stroke last yr, but its kept in the draw and she knows its emergency use.....
I remember my 1st mobile, it was the size of a brick, and instead of a built in battery, it took 4 x AA batteries, didn't even have a liquid display just looked like a handset from the house, and calls were 75p a minute - pay and go was unheard of........ I remebember it cost me £300 for the phone then £20 a month..... (mum2one retreats now.......shes showing her age!!!) xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Is it me or is everything suddenly getting expensive - just booked a trip to go up Snowdon on the railway - just me and Miss Hoodie - it was £43.50........ and if we go in one car park its £6.00......xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Maybe now I can concentrate on getting stuff done and finished off:jI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I think you'll find it's called "the holidays" as soon as the kids are about to/break up for summer it's chaos, everything triples in price especially food/drinks in cafe's etc! Mean really, makes it harder for everyone to enjoy a day out.
That's why we love a good picnic & playing in the park!!"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇0 -
thanks for the links mum2one. I agree with you on not paying too much as it could get lost/pinched. I have heard a few people mention the tocco lite so will look at that.
I remember my first phone too:eek:saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

I agree about the Tocca Lite.. I bought one for my daughter for her birthday last Sunday and she loves it. OH was so impressed he has asked me to buy him one as well for Xmas. I got hers from Amazon for about £65 using vouchers. Its on Vodaphone but we are hoping to get it unlocked when we have a chance to get her back on O2 same as we all are.0 -

Here we go, to make it up to you, I found this on a blog and thought of you. I'm going to make some myself. Gift bags made from newspaper. Edited to add. Having another mooch, I found these to make out of your freebie samples of material. Bookmarks
Edited to add: Rufus scroll down the page until May 13th, there are loads of purse and handbag tutorials. They may be handy for your craft stall.
I love the crocheted cactus - if anyone can make them, I'd love to buy one!
Thanks for the link Elysia, I love the newspaper bags too, I had a gift in one of these last year, it was bought though in a posh shop and it cost the person who bought it over £3!!
I am thinking of making some out of fabric as well as I have a few bits of Christmassy fabric that are not really big enough to make anything else out of.
Am off to have a better look at the rest of the page xx0
