I spent the afternoon making a new baby cross stitch card today. MSE - only use little bits and pieces I've already got. It was quite nice as I haven't done any for a while. Two years ago I used to make them and sell them on ebay. I might make a few again and see how they go.

Thanks for the info my OH just looked on internet and its only 14 miles so i will go there.

Def worth a visit, I try to go on route when we go to Devon, usually stay the ngt at Travelodge J24? Bridgwater, so only 20 mins to street.

Theres plently of car parking spaces, theres about 4, the layout all flat, slightly raised areas but only 1 story.

Although there is a big eating area, got Burger King, costa coffee (or one of those chains) and food area (bit like motorway services!!), - got a set of loos in there as well.

When we go- never eat there, - can't rememeber the name of the cafe, but excuse the directions make sence when your there.

They've got 1 main section with shops, then across the road where Next, Cadburys etc is this is the newer extension, when you go to cross the road, on the original side the last shop you see on the one side is the Tourist Information Centre.

Instead of crossing the road, look to the left 20 yards, theres some buildings the one is a cafe, theres a big banner on the side of the building saying 60 seater restuarant (or similar) look small from the outside, but if you go upstairs - smarter and the loos are there - home cooked food, really good value, and we always eat there. They cover all foods snacks, kids, roasts, specials of the day - all real good priced.

Theres only 1 cafe in the row - can't get lost.

They do have food outlets from vans, round the Shopping complex, but you pay the price for the pleasure of being there. xx

Everyone has been so organised today....... I did 3/4 of the bedroom tidy up, not really had chance seem to head stuck in books, or doing something with her lady ship!.

Had to get it tidy got to got a bloke to set my TV up and retune Miss Hoodies, I brought new telly month ago, swopped over the wires as the old was in, just doesn't want to play ball, dads tried and the same, but the bloke set up the main TV and freeview boxes b4, so know won't get ripped off. Sounds so awful thinking are you going to get ripped off, guess thats modern day society for you.

Done a few more bits of the jewellery, feel like I cheated as brought a job lot of chains and lopped some charms onto them, they worked out at 55p each.

Plan is get a couple more bits done then the photos......

Even found a couple of things for ebay -going to do them Thurs - 10day listing end next Sunday, so hopefully be sorted b4 the school hols.

Mary - Your going great guns, ur putting the rest of us to shame...

Elisha - Love the sound of the cross stitich cards, there really unusual. If I tried it would be all over the place!!

Sarah -Hope the course went ok, what are you studying towards, you must of been running round like a headless chick getting everyone orgainsied. xx

The course was a mixture of things hun, first aid, team work, confidence building, health and safety etc... just a basic skills course to help you get back into work, but gives you a few bits to put on your CV. Supposed to be getting a work placement for 4 weeks which could lead to a full time job but not got the dates yet as to when I start that, so thought I better get straight. Especially with the kids finishing school in 2 weeks:eek:

Got all my bits to make teacher pressies with next week with the kids, 3 are having "great teacher" mugs (found in homebargins last year at 39p each) with home made sugar/choc swizzle sticks and DS2 teacher who is male and loves DR Who is getting a set of note books which we are going to cover with riversongs tardis baking paper printed from here

    http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/d11s01/d11s02e04-dust-jacket.pdf

His teacher is lovely but an absolute Dr Who Nut, he even wheres a jacket and bowtie like Matt Smith some days.

Anyway wont ramble anymore, need another coffee

    Have a good day everyone

    Hello all :j

Thank goodness..............we've had rain at last and the temperature's dropped:j Mind you......could need my cardi at this rate............lol (never satisfied...........lol)
Not done much today -meeting this morning then I did a bit more to scrapbook no.2...........got so cross with myself........printed off wrong photos for one page........no wonder they didn't fit quite like the other............lol Never mind, put it right now and I'll go back to it tomorrow.......by the time I'd got that far OH wanted to serve dinner.
Young girl came to clean my very mucky house thank goodness...............lol She'll be up later in the week but not to clean.......she wants to do a sort of collage of Bob Marley photos off a calendar for her boyfriend (our lad we used to look after) so I offered her the kitchen table for space...........and she'll be out of his way.
Made a sort of flannel dog........think it'll be ok......young girl approves and its for her boyfriend........so,thats that for today. Hope tomorrow will be a bit more productive...........:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
