Def -most shops sell the jars, theres a little tradational sweet shop we use in Dawlish, she sold her big plastic jars for 50p, I did my friends 40 presents in one last yr. x

    Hi all

    Good luck getting those jars.

mum2one - 40 presents in the jar - all sweetie related were they?

This year I used a very different Father's Day card to usual. I could have sworn I had a suitable card but when I went to wrap his present and take it round to him yesterday discovered that I didn't. So out of my card stash I found a blank that was a posh looking black card with white butterflies on it and a bright pink envelope. Not sure what he will make of that LOL

Everywhere in wakefield, batley, heckmondwike, dewsbury its £2 for trim, £3 for men and £4 for a V cut?:T

I went to wakefield, lady used to be in indoor market, she charge £5 me and OH she on the street opposite now...but i hate having hair cut so it has to be spur of the moment;)

I`m sure you`ll enjoy the build mcjordi, i built my first about 10 years ago , i love computers, i fixed a few as well, only downside everyone thinks you expert when they find out. :( And you do learn alot but sometimes you cant fix computers for free because the parts are expensive. I love fixing and building though, great satisfaction.

I love the sweetie jar idea, have to do some for twins they 18 this year, mind you DS would be happy with a tray of cans, a box of crisps and a box of sweets. I remember when they were little for christmas i used to give them a shop bought lucky bag each, every year....when they were going to comprehensive, i thought they bit old....first thing on 11th christmas, they seen all the presents and asked where the lucky bag was so I`ll have to get one of those each....:rotfl::rotfl:

I tend to get carried away on ebay to elysia :T, sometimes i just have to have it, and then end up paying way over the top, I try to do BUY IT NOW if i can or place one bid and not go back until bidding finishes

Susan that's an unbelievable price for a haircut. We'll have to organise a coach party up there LOL

That's interesting about those goody bags and your children.

Ooo we drove through Dawlish last year whilst on holiday - we were staying at Finlake. However on the day we went, everything seemed to be closed. Nice area though - I love it round there, we are going back again to Finlake this October.

Hope your knee is feeling better Mum2One.

Hugs to you also Anglea - feel free to use us as a distraction any time.

    hello all :j

Just got back from Bills mums 90th.............tiring journey but had a nice time.
Nipped into town and had a look round the shops while we were there..........OH treated himself to new jeans and a t-shirt, I bought a cushion (don't ask why, I just liked it...........lol) then found some bits in the charity shops. Pair of baby boots or mittens -not sure which, blue and red striped.......perfect for snowmans hats- notepad thats shaped like a dress, sort of magnet notepad and some unused smellies -all very very cheap :j

Susan -my grandchildren are 18 at christmas...........like the idea of 18 presents -not sure about sweets though.........just maybe 18 things to unwrap..............could get some big shoe boxes for them...............have to see what I've got lurking in my 'stash' pile.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

There were a few sweeties in there, but as shes studying with Open Uni, did stationary items, really girlie colours, otherwise her 2 boys would borrow her pens etc and never return them...... ended up decorating the jar in tissue paper, and cut out 4 0 in constrast colour,.

Love to be there when dad opened the pink envelope!! xx
