My OH got me some of those wooden stirrers last year to make the sweet bouquets but I never got round to it. Will definitely have a go this year.0

That was it! :j I'd forgotten about the free stirrers you get in McDonalds. I remember now. That would be even more MSE. :money:I :heartpuls M.S.E.

Hello all :j
jamtart -welcome back -you've been missed:j
cdsmiler - hope you feel better soon.....hugs (((:o)))
rufus - you reminded me of the 'stirrers' I pocketed from service stations en route to cornwall.......I put them in a pot with a load of pens and forgot about them.............all I got to do now is work out what to do with them................lol:rotfl:
Well, someone must have kicked me up the backside - today I've left the scrapbook in the drawer and got on with covering a shoe box for sons birthday and made little gift bags to pop things in I got as 'freebies' -then I went on to cover another box......................got carried away till my back told me it was time to stop and go sit in the garden...
Had minor panic - bought some notebooks from 98p shop in Torquay and couldn't remember where I'd put them:eek: OH luckily, knew (I'll never hear the last of it...............)he found them along with the little tool boxes and gardening gloves..................lol:rotfl:
Now just need to work out what to put in the tool boxes -already done retro sweet boxes..........can only think of sos box for things people run out of...........I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Only let her have a sweet bouquet if she doesn't put any cleaning on the next challenge!
That defr sounds like a gd deal!!
Mary - found the 98p shop in torquay, got some bargains, to the tune £28........ but got a kids plastic tool box (3 actually) its about 6in deep, thought be brilliant for my crafting stuff, going to use one for jewellery, the other for small craft bits for school, one for my craft bits for home, they've even got lids on them, great for boys, they look a lot more expensive def a bob the builder look.
Even treated myself to a skirt in Ann Harvey, it was reduced from £90.00:eek: to £10, very odd, got absolutley nothing like it, just jumped out at me, like a black and whote picture of rose, really unusual but looks like.
even managed to navigate a mobility scooter without knocking anyone over or bumping into counters, thou had a near miss in Poundland, thougght the back end of the scooter was dragging, I'd only managed to hook one of their free standing units onto it, the one assistant was laughing, and dd, she walked off in disguist.....
Found a bargain in Claires, thou won't let dd open it yet, I'm a meanie.. they had the 10 items for £3. so hopefully be able to make a few xmas prezzies (got 3 bags), got some party food boxes left from dds party last year, so thought I'd use them as a lucky dip box for presents.
Nothing else, very quiet here, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
mum2one - glad you got some bargains - couldn't fail at that shop really could you. I got a couple of those little boxes............think I might make an SOS box out of one for one of my sons..........or could do the same for both...............only just said to OH that we should have spent longer in there and looked at every single thing they had.........lol
Gardening gloves..........that was something else we got there.............pair for me and some for OH............oh I wish I'd got more................oh well, not to worry.............I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I loved that shop, could of brought about half of it, (had budgeted allowed!!),
found a bargain at the shop one down, I got 400g ball dk wool for £2.50, cheapest normally £4, so that plzed mum, and they had teatowels for 50p but I forgot to get them........ mass emergency as dd had left her handbag in the car, so theres dad and Bailey running back, half expecting the car to be broke into (we were parked on main road), luckly it was safe, she had put it under Baileys mat...xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Good to read of all your bargains. Havent done any present planning for a while apart from remembering about the stirrers. Have been getting on with my patchwork quilt for myself and have now finished piecing the top, need to get the wadding now and something to back it with.
I like the sound of the SOS box, might make one up for my Son Mary to go with his quilt for Christmas. I am sure he will appreciate it. Need to look out for a sutable box.0
