Hello everyone. You all seem very friendly. Just wondered if you could help / advise me a bit? Am doing family baskets this year - have done a gardening one for one aunty & uncle; a cooking one for another; a warm hands one (complete with gloves and emergency candles) for another. Have some ideas for others - which include my home made marmalade. What I was looking for is some pointers as to where I could find patterns for egg cosies, tea cosies, cafetiere cosies that I can make from material to include.

I also have two young children - both boys one 6 and one 5. Would like to know what I could make them for Christmas in terms of toys and the like? I'm not brilliant at crafts, but I'll have a go, even if it looks a bit odd.

    Thanks for all your help.

Don't know if these will be any good but off the top of my head there the best 2 threads can think of, theres a few ladies who craft on here, who might have some ideas.

Love the sound of the homemde marmalade

Still, on the plus side I've more than enough christmas cards all done:T That makes me feel better.............lol:rotfl:
Washings on the line...........forgot my socks so had to do those by hand. Bed is covered with assortment of sweatshirts -got confused about which ones to pack for Monday so gave up...............just hope OH doesn't want a lie down..........there's no room.................lol

sarah - I'm so hoping that young lad we used to look after sticks to his word and comes up while we're away and does a bit in the garden. He used to love it so much .......be absolute bliss to come home to a clean and tidy house plus garden...............oh well, I can dream ...................;)
Not too sure about 60 minute makeover though..........umm..........might end up not liking it................lol:rotfl:

Hope everyone ok, had a brilliant night out 2ngt, went to see Joseph and his Technical colour dream coat, family outing, shouldn't laugh, mum decided we were to go for a meal b4 we went, got to the pub, they don't serve food on a Sat ngt, so Plan B, was go to the Indian restuant 2 doors down..... dd and mum both order English - Steak and chips, dad had english roast chicken, and I had an Indian, nice as they do combination of dishes, so had chicken malayan (mild - with pineapple), and chicken passandra (cooked in wine), considering dd turned her nose up, but eat half the passandra...
The show was brilliant, so funny, they had an elvis impersonator come on, and dd burst out laughing, for 10 mins couldn't stop her, she loved it..... Next show Hi De Hi....... can't wait xx
