Hope everyone is well and all organised, feels like an eternity since I posted with one thing and another getting in the way.
Im going to sit and read back through the pages Ive missed (hate missing gossip) and hopefully catch up on the challenges.
Christmas seems to be creeping closer and closer at an alarming speed  and I dont feel any more organised than 2 months ago (please insert big kick up bum here) really need to get my head into it.
Well on a festive note weve had snow flurries today  very strange.

Hello all :j
At last I've finished making envelopes for one lot of birth marriage certificates for my scrapbook...........more to do and must make them less bulky or at this rate I shan't be able to fit it all in....................lol
Must check what the weather will be like next week so I have an idea what to pack.............bit of everything I expect.........something for all seasons.............:rotfl:
Mary how do you make your envelopes for your scrapbook? I keep a VERY basic scrapbook, more a notebook really, of our family stuff and would like to have some sort of pocket inside the front cover for things like school certificates - DS1 doesn't always want things stuck down. Had thought of just gluing in an A4 envelope, but if you have a better way...
mrsow - KICK as requested;). Can't believe you've had snow!!!!!0 -
Hello all :j
Yet more clearing out today -still haven't done top of my desk but sorted out all the stroage boxes underneath. Trouble was I spent too much time looking and reading it all........found my first wedding album, some stuff of my dads, photos I forgot I'd got -don't know what they were doing stuff in a box - anyway, thats the bottom bit sorted.
elyphant - to make an envelope just take a normal one apart and use it as a template..........I used an oblong ones I'd got and you can make them as long or short as you like. Hope that makes sense.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Thanks mary, will give that a go!
Know what you mean about looking at photos, I am really bad for that, whenever we're having a clearout that involves photos or old notebooks or the kids artwork or anything, I end up sitting on the floor poring over it all and DH says 'are you going to tidy that or just read till next Tuesday!'0 -
Hello all :j
Not done much today..........young girl came up to do some cleaning for me and we spent ages having a natter before she started..........lol:rotfl:
Still she got it done and I had some paperwork to do -got that done..........still more bits and pieces to do so I'm up to date with bills etc. before we go away on Monday.
Ears still feel thick like there's an old woollen sock stuck in them..........so much for gp's ear drops ! At least backs much better as long as I take it easy.........paying the price a bit for being on my hands and knees yesterday having a clear out so thats all I'm doing till after the holiday.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

mum2one - if we get a chatterbox on the coach there I'll just go to sleep I think..........leaving at 7.20am  Hope we get to the bus stop on time and don't oversleep:eek:
It's the Eden Project we're going to and not sure whether its Devon or Cornwall = numpty me when it comes to where places are...............lol Buckfast Abbey and a day in Torquay then home on the Friday.......seems there;s entertainment at the hotel in the evenings as well...........not quite sure what though and everyone seems to be viewing this as a 'pensioners holiday'...................lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

The break will do you both the world of good, - ny room in thesuitcase, love that area.
Torquay - if the coach drops you off near the big debenhams, theres two ways you can go, the senic route, buy the harbour, and there a couple of lovely cafes down there, we use to use the one that looked like an ice-cream parlour, could do with a bit of a refit, butyou can't fault the food, if you want the shops, cross so your on the side of debenhams, with the harbour behind you, continue left, theres a couple of small shops and a cookery shop, carry on up, semi pedistrianed area, buses run down the middle as does the noddy train, then carry on across the road, theres pedestrian crossings, your at a v, follow the crowd.... see pub called Hogs head, opposiate there is a set of public toilets, there kept pretty clean, and there more shops going up the bank, but becareful it can be decieving, steeper than it looks.
Places to eat - lower perestrianed bit, by BurgerKing, theres a Yates wine lodgeat the bottom, (good value), nice sandwich shop on the right, looks like a proper shopfront, for snacks, up the 2ns part, theres cafes with seating inside and out, greggs, Warrens the bakery (Devon based company), so your spoilt for choice.
Buckfast Abbey is beautiful, not done the Eden Project, onlt becoz there can be a lot of walking, but think theres easier routes to get yu through.
Bet when you go to Buckfast Abbey, there do a tour over the moors, they usually stop ayt one of two cafes in princetown, home of Dartmoor Prison. If they stop at "The Old Police Station, try and get a wooden table and seat, otherwise there benches and not as comfy, also just n4 the coach goes everyone wants the loo, there 3 ladies toilets but tight squeeze....... or the other place Lords cafe - run by the same owner, thata a bit more roomier.
Your have a great time. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Ordered eyes and noses for the football bears I am making the Grandsons for Christmas, cut out a blue and white and two red and white ones the other day and have some fur left over. Good jobI have.
My ex husband had been on holiday and bought the boys chelsea kits as gifts, one is over the moon as he is a chelsea fan but other one wasnt amused as he is an arsenal fan. Apparently he cried his eyes out but was told he has to wear it and be grateful!. Know where I would have told him to shove it if I had been there but there you go. The little lad was on his way round my house with my daugher and was worried what I might think of him being a "traitor" lol. Came in saying I like all football teams now Nanny, had to laugh. So am going to make up a few of the bears in each colours so if they change their minds I will have the right one. Thats as long as they dont end up going for something like west ham or wolves lol0
