    Hi all

Clare, thanks for the info on Specsavers. I hope to remember it.

Mum2One - hope you are better soon - those things are often meat related.

Mary good luck with the marathon de-cluttering. I was thinking of this thread today as I was chucking away empty tubs and pringles tubes which I'd been keeping for ages but I don't have anywhere to store them realistically as my kitchen is overflowing with empty jars at the mo.

Sarah, that's a good idea with the canvas pictures.

Elysia, glad you enjoyed the christening, not sure if I ever congratulated you on your win.

I'm feeling a bit annoyed because for all my spare cards (massive supply) I don't have one suitable as a 'get well' for a boy. When I went to the shops yesterday I didn't buy one as I'm sick to the sight of greeting cards as I had been buying so many recently. Might wait until the weekend..

Angela - you're throwing out pringles tubs and jars ??? Oh my word............think of all the cheap christmas pressies you could make.............:rotfl:

Just made very slight start on de-cluttering..........sorted out some of my card making stuff and managed to condense it all into my drawer in boxes.............now left with shoe box thats empty.............umm...........now what can I do with that I wonder ???
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Hi all

Mary I was feeling really bad about throwing them out, but my house was beginning to resemble a Blue Peter project supply shop LOL now shoe boxes - they are useful :)

I hope you are feeling a little bit better now Mum2one. What are we going to do with you? If it's not Mary, it's you or Miss Hoodie! ;)

    Thanks for congrats Anglea!

Good idea about recovering the canvases Sarah. I have a large one, that's not the correct colours for the room anymore, and didn't want to list on ebay as postal charges would be too high and put people off. Now I know exactly what to do - recover it! :j

I hope everyone else is OK. I have been busy with the Avon again this week, so haven't been around much, but it's all done now for another couple of weeks.

    Anyone heard anything off Shopping.com?

Hi - still lurking, but really could do with some help please......

my wonderful DD has requested a cheerleading party - I have arranged for a local cheerleading tutor to come and give an hour lesson and have some activities planned - with thanks to our friends over the water who have lots of great ideas. But I am struggling with invitations, plates, napkins and party bags - I though about getting them shipped over but the cost was far too much - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have a look in tesco's, they have a cheapish range of plates, napkins, cups etc... that are red with white stars on would be ideal for a cheerleading party. I'm also pretty sure I saw red and white cheerleading pompoms in poundland manchester the other week that were red and white, they could then take them home with a slice of cake which would cover the party bags. For invites could you not make some on the computer and print them off a few pics of cheerleaders etcc?? is your DD into HSM?? They had loads of bits in home bargins with the cheerleaders on the other day, they had some lovely small metal vanity cases with the cheerleaders on and they were only 99p would make good prizes

The canvas idea just came to me in wilkinnsons when I saw the wallpaper, and as you can take a sample at most wallpaper shops its really cheap. I used spray glue which I got in the pound shop and just stuck it down, really easy and very MSE :D

Fun and games here, I think I have lost a stone in weight overnight........ I've had food poisoning or sickness bug, apparently my dad found me asleep on the loo at 5am this morning......(not a pretty site....)

he was as much help as a chocolate teapot, apparently he went back to bed then realised he'd better tell mum to see if I needed anything...

Thou could neck mum (in the nicest of ways), I was still in bed, she'd rang the gp for a phone consultation, then was busy hoovering incase he came out.... bless him rang and laughed, basically all day yesterday I had hiccups and acid reflex (posh description!!) and all i could taste was hard boiled eggs and I hadn't had any for a week....

So I am on bedrest for today..can't moan sleeping most of it, but have sneaked half an hr for the computer!!

    Hope everyone ok, xx

Oh mum2one, you never do things by halves, do you? Smear test, IUD change, and food poisoning all in one week.

I'd like to echo what everyone else has said. I've been on 6 monthly smears for the last 4 years, having previously had treatment in my mid 20's. I may not like smear tests, but it is worth getting them done. 5 mins of discomfort and embarrassment could save your life.

    Take care everyone xx
