Thought I'd share what dd just said, shes doing her homework - reading, as the school hasn't given her a new boook, she choose one of hers to read, about history, as sweet as anything "nanny were you born in 1826"...... much to mums amusement!! x

Well done foxy219, thats a brilliant win.

I had some more bits come from Vistaprint yesterday. A notebook with daughters name on, a notepad and pen for ExMil and a T-shirt for son's birthday. Also OH's dvd box set came so thats his big Xmas pressie out the way.

Dad's photoframe came too, I have paid some towards it with my Amazon vouchers although I will probably get him something else by Christmas. My Sil brought him down yesterday for the afternoon so he has taken it home with him. I had also found him a foot stool like the one I bought myself only this time it was brand new, it was in another charity shop and was the princely sum of £7 so he took that home as well.

Have made the centre piece of my quilt for my bed, need some more fabric now before I can carry on with it but I expect it will have to wait a few weeks as daughter needs some school shoes etc etc.

    Hi all

Have had a busy week so not been able to get on for a while - I've been decorating the girls' bedroom - just repainting in the same colour as had loads of the paint left and it really needed freshening up (you know where they've drawn on the walls etc) - have also painted their wardrobe white (instead of orangey pine). I am also in the process of painting some small drawers to use as box shelves on the wall.

DS has given me a lovely list of what he wants me to do in his bedroom next!

I will eventually get around to doing my bedroom ;)

Hope everybody is having a good day.

Sarah, thank you!!! I have been contemplating ordering the ashes to ashes first series boxset from ebay but the cheapest price was £15, just been on that site, found it for £8.80 and then found the phonebooth dvd (love that film!) for £1.90 so I got a boxset and dvd for 70p!! Sooo hope it works, but the thread seemed pretty happy about it working so fingers crossed! have also got shopping.com up to 52 reviews, so hopefulyl get a payout of £50 tomorrow which i'll use to buy series 2 of ashes to ashes (haven't seen any of it, but think that life on mars was one of the best programmes in a long time, so hoping it is good!) xx

forgot to put that I went through topcashback too, so if they payout (lost abit of confidence, after they haven't payed out for the last two things, but that could have been the companies!) then I will have made £1.30 and a boxset and dvd! xx

What an afternoon, it could only happen to me......... I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

I'm a big wimp when it comes to "those things", made worse as 10yrs ago I had pre-cancerous cells, had treatment and all clear, but on yearly recalls, so finally 6mths later, went 2day, tied in with swopping my iud..... It took the nurse and the doctor 45mins to just get the smear done, apparently I have an arkward shaped area.......... so got to go to family planning clinic to get the iud done, which they gave me to take away, in a box 18in long, 2in wide..... no carrier bag....

The icing on the cake moment,---- put new pair of knickers on, last of pack of 3, thought the label was itching......it wasn't the label it was the packaging from the knickers, had the doc and nurse it stitches....... xx

Thanks Sarah - I always look at the grabbit board (my second home) but never the freebie one, so many thanks.

I bought DD2 a wii game for 50p, quidco has tracked too.

OH's birthday yesterday. His TopGear hamper went down a storm. So thanks everyone, for the hints and tips Jan/Feb time, where to buy all the stuff.

He had been looking at these machines that you transfer stuff off your camcorder onto disc without using a recordable DVD (ours broke) or computer (I'm not very technical).
Anyway, my Dad had bought himself a topspec one less than 6 months ago, and hadn't used it. They brought out a better one, so he bought that too. He sold the first one to me for £100 instead of £280. OH gosmacked when he opened it as he was looking at Asda branded ones for over £100 and he has now a Sony!!! Trouble is we now have to watch about two and a half years of birthdays, holidays and Christmases while he puts them onto DVD. He films EVERYTHING, so it could take a while!!!
