Oh mum2one, thats awful, hope she gets better soon, i know the itching drives them mad, i put bed socks on their hands and taped them around with insulation tape, because they were forever wanting to scratch
Elysia perhaps we should all meet their next year and wander around, we all start saving now £1 a week...lol
I live about 2 hours away but would love to go.. xx
Love it, just had visions of the bedsocks, touch wood, - we were very sad and counted 60 spots this morning, without doing the hair..... touch wood a couple a couple of scabbed but shes not itching at the moment.
Shes cheered up a bit, we went and got her just dance wii game, thou she was woried that everyone would come round like they do in the tv advert!
Looks like her best friend is coming down with it as well, and when rang the travel ins company they were really helpful and will refund, (phew) thou could take 6 to 8 weeks........ the lady I spoke to said she'd already taken ten calls today with cancellation due to chicken pox, so sounds like a mini epedamic. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Hello all :j
mum2one - sorry to hear about the chickenpox.........least you had insurance.;)
susan - don't think I dare go to NEC - I'd run away with myself (and my bit of plastic);)
elysia - love the sock rabbit :T
Gravy tubs ponging of gravy ? pop in anything herbal and shut the lid or leave the lid open.........I've tried both ways and it seems to work
Not much done today..........don't ask why.........must be just one of those days..............one page of scrapbook.........was nearly two then OH started to clear out junk from the 'indoor shed' (room that leads off the kitchen) when he remember chap coming tomorrow to give a quote for plastering, removing big door and replace with smaller one and corner off a cubicle type area for loo............. Can't believe the junk in there and OH;s expression sort of said it must be all mine:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

elysia - that's an adorable rabbit
you need to give yourself a pat on the back
Your family have a shocking illness record for the weekends. Hope the Easter weekend will change the current trend.
Slim fast tins for a nail, screws etc pressie for OH. Did make me think that men don't seem to mind those kinds of presents whereas women would probably be quite insulted getting a set of clothes pegs and laundry powder! LOL
mum2one - good that you will get a refund.
Jane you've got a good set of presents, love the joke ones.
Unexpected coincidences today - This morning I was given a large box of choccies because I've been helping someone out with their embroidery. Later today got a call, I had won a prize at the church fair, large box of choccie eggs. Well, I didn't actually win them as such it was DS2. Funny thing happened as I got someone else to collect them (as they lived near the church) and the person in the office kept mishearing so thought my friend was trying to pick up an apple pie!
I can't enjoy any of the choccie myself as I'm allergic0 -
because of it being 2days away got to cancel, claim on ins, I can't take her out of school, and summer holiday prices are unbeliveable, they literally double what we paid.
We've got the Dom Rep booked for next yr, I hit the big 4....0..... and had some compensation for falling over a split bag of sugar (2 yrs ago), the cashier said I saw it but couldn't be bothered to clean it up...... so its gone 2wards that...
I'm sure shes cursed, bar last Easter, shes poorly every school holiday.
It was as bad in 2001, was due to go to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, then Sri Lanka got blew up, terroists at airport, got my holiday changed to Mexico, 2 days into was 9/11
2002 - Was going to Kenya in March, and Goa in Nov....... then Miss Hoodie came along, so whilst pregnant, I ended up in Tunisa twice, Turkey and Cyprus, on all inclusive!! I was the only sober English person......
I do plan to do Kenya and Goa, and Las Vegas etc when I'm debt free........ or I find a rich man! xx
Oh no! You are definately well travelled, I don't know how you do it, went to lanzarote last year for 5 days, me and OH met my mum n stepdad and sister there and stayed in their villa, and my stepdad payed for 90% of meals and drinks, and yet even that left us broke! Desperately want to go to florida while im still young enough to get excited about minnie mouse lol, I know im 19 not 5 but still!! don't think I will ever be able to afford it, we were talking about it other day and worked out that for both of us, for 2/3 weeks and to do just about everything and be able to spend on most thing we would need around £10,000,:eek::eek:!!! Maybe some day eh??!
I'm cursed too, every christmas or birthday I am unwell, usually just feel abit rubbish, but have missed quite a few being sick in bed!! But this christmas luckily it didnt come on until late at night, and even then it could have been the alcohol, and then my birthday I was fine too, so hopefully it's now over after 18 years of missing out lol!
OOOPS, sorry for the uber long postxxx

Elysia - I love the sock monkey SO much!! Was she difficult to make? I have a bag of odd socks that I could use to make an army of sock monkeys but I would need to get my sewing machine out of the attic first and of course it's found it's way to the very back. Maybe I'll manage it this Easter holidayMaking money for Christmas 2012!0

Morning ladies
I have sorted out my Grandaughter's birthday present. Decided to make her a photo book but with a difference. I made up pages in my image software programme that fit the page of the photobook with a pic of her on it and then a nice background and some text at the bottom like a story book kind of thing and decorated the pages with pics of butterflies and flowers and things. She will be 6 in August and just learning to read so have done it with some easy words.
The advert for the photobook was a bit of a catch really as it was saying all along it would be £6 something but when I went to pay they added on pp and then tax and it came to just over £12. Still it is still the cheapest I could find for a 12cm square book at the moment.
Will probs have a wait for it to come as did the cheapest pp possible.
Thats all the presents done really until Xmas, might get her some colouring books to go with it and some pens but they wont be dear in Wilkinsons.
Off to meet my friend up town later, might treat myself to a new top in New Look. Think there is a voucher going the rounds somewhere xx0
