Sods law, we were due to go to Tunisia on Wed, for Easter hols, she's not allowed to fly, so fun and games now trying to cancel the holiday, good news is full insurance, just the pratting about.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mum2One, sorry to hear. What a shame for you all.
Just remembered those posts we all wrote about children's illnesses clashing with important things, birhtdays etc.another one for your list.
Elysia, gravy tub smells - I put herbal tea bags inside and seal the lids.
The tubs I use are for Caro, a coffee subsitute you get in the health shop. Other good ones are from Slim Fast (metal) up to now I've put flour in them but might try one of Mary's ideas for the latest spare I've got..
At the moment I've become the jam jar Queen LOL0 -
Oh no mum2one thats terrible! Will you just need to postpone the holiday or will it have to be cancelled and then you claim on the insurance? I remember in 2000 my auntie and my twin cousins were due to go to florida and then they both got chicken pox, and then they booked to go in 2001 at the end of september, that ended up cancelled for obvious reasons, so now she won't even book to go again, thinks she is cursed lol! xx'Patience is a virtue till we die. Then a ripple in the water caught my eye'Mrs Jason Orange.Getting organized and thrifty for christmas 2010!0

because of it being 2days away got to cancel, claim on ins, I can't take her out of school, and summer holiday prices are unbeliveable, they literally double what we paid.
We've got the Dom Rep booked for next yr, I hit the big 4....0..... and had some compensation for falling over a split bag of sugar (2 yrs ago), the cashier said I saw it but couldn't be bothered to clean it up...... so its gone 2wards that...
I'm sure shes cursed, bar last Easter, shes poorly every school holiday.
It was as bad in 2001, was due to go to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, then Sri Lanka got blew up, terroists at airport, got my holiday changed to Mexico, 2 days into was 9/11
2002 - Was going to Kenya in March, and Goa in Nov....... then Miss Hoodie came along, so whilst pregnant, I ended up in Tunisa twice, Turkey and Cyprus, on all inclusive!! I was the only sober English person......
I do plan to do Kenya and Goa, and Las Vegas etc when I'm debt free........ or I find a rich man! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Your group sounds like fun - my hubby would love that! He's had all sorts of 'experiences' and loves those programmes where they go ghost hunting. Hope baby let you sleep hun x
My OH has too, at our last house he was getting scratched at different times and in different places, one night we were stood in the kitchen and he had his shirt off and 3 long scratch marks appeard on the back of his shoulder, we contacted our local group and they came out, one of the guys wouldn't come in the house he said he didn't like the feel of it, they were going to come and investigate but we moved out before they could come:( but OH and DS1 are always watching Ghost hunters, the american one with the plumbers Have you seen it? DS1 wants to do all the camera stuff, he set his camcorder up the other week in his bedroom over night hoping to catch something, bless but all he got was him and his brother snoring LOL...:rotfl: I did tell him he would have to go somewhere with ghost activity to catch something on film.:D:D:D:D

Anglea you must have read my mind, I have four slimfast containers, I thought about putting nails, screws and rawlplugs etc in. Keeps them dry and rust free. A great stocking filler for OH.

So sorry to hear your news Mum2one. Apparently chicken pox has been doing the rounds in my sisters office, but I haven't heard of any kids with is lately, strangely enough! Except Miss Hoodie of course.
Since we wrote that bit about illnesses the kids have got, we've been cursed too!
Weekend 1 - DD2 ill with stomach bug - DD1 had it too
Weekend 2 - OH toilet probs (could keep off it)! :rotfl:
Weekend 3 - DD2 got stomach bug again (kids dropping like flies at school, even the teacher had it
Weekend 4 - I had the stomach bug
Weekend just gone - DD2 Ear and throat infection, she's still off school now, she's feeling a bit better today so she may go to school tomorrow.
My Mum has just popped around for a cuppa, and she remarked who is going to get it next week? Not funny!I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Sorry to hear about Miss Hoodie Mum2One = hope she is not too itchy and better soon.
I've finally finished this months gifts, as well as Easter I have my sister's 40th on Saturday, Dad's 60th on 19th and Dad's partner's birthday on 25th (got this gift in Jan sales).
Today have finished putting bits in sister and Dad's boxes. Mum and I are taking sister out for a meal so her box is just some nice bits to open - smellies, choocies, wine, free mug etc.
Dad's box contains some jokey type presents as well as the main stuff, so I got some coach tour holiday brochures from travel agent, bus pass application form and life insurance application form. I also managed to find a 1950 threpenny bit from an antique shop for 15p, so that has gone in aswell.
Altogether sister's present without the meal has cost £8.23 (original cost £35.75, so saved £27.52), and Dad's £13.74 (original cost £42.86, so saved £29.27). Wow I have saved £56.77 on 2 gifts - I'm totally amazed at that - would have hated to pay the full amount even if they are special birthdays - every bit helps!Thrifty Gifty February make £20 challenge £21.05/£20.0 -
Oh mum2one, thats awful, hope she gets better soon, i know the itching drives them mad, i put bed socks on their hands and taped them around with insulation tape, because they were forever wanting to scratch
Elysia perhaps we should all meet their next year and wander around, we all start saving now £1 a week...lol
I live about 2 hours away but would love to go.. xxChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0
