Mary - what are we going to do with you? :) It's one thing after the other. Going downstairs like that might be a good workout, but please take care.

Hello all :j
Angela - I'm a disaster zone I really am...............lol

Still, managed to get a bit done today............decorated green egg box retrieved from recylcing bin.......piece of pretty paper on the top to cover the tears up and a few little flowers to dot on the other bits that were a bit rough .........ribbon round the top and filled it with easter tree ornaments -painted easter eggs with ribbon attached that I got from the charity shop.........popped a chicken in as well.
Thankfully mobile phone now working after a week  and BT man is on his way to try and stop the land line buzzing so I can't hear anyone when they phone............felt cut off from the outside world I have.
Upgraded my phone as well so need a degree to work that out........................lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

• I love the egg box idea Mary-op, sounds lovely. I might give this a go myself if you dont mind me pinching your idea. We have Fox's garden fruits sweets here that no one likes so I might bake up some biscuits with the swets in the middle and varnish for hanging decorations. Might even make some Christmas ones whilst Im at it :)

G;ad you're mobile is working and the phones to be fixed soon, nothing like losing contact with the outside world!
Comping wishlist for 2017

Hello all :j

Not a happy bunny - mobile phone worked yesterday but today its hit and miss -more miss than anything.
Getting the feeling its time to cancel my contract with this useless network and try the one my neighbour has - doesn't help when the network e mail saying 'nothings wrong -very strong signal in your area'............he's got to be having a laugh..........
So they can have the upgrade one back (blessed if I can send a text on it and what on earth do I want with 'juke box' on a phone ???')

Have made little red pointy hat for big ears egg cup for son at easter..........3rd attempt -the ears keep getting in the way..................lol This last one will have to do...............lol
Now need some blue felt to do hat for noddy egg cup for the other son.............lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi all!

Heres a little Easter pressie idea Ive been making:

SDC10324.jpg

They are so easy to make and I have been using up odd balls of wool, although I have ordered some fluffy yellow eyelash yarn to make some more.

The pattern is knitted in one piece of garter stitch (just ordinary knitting!)
• Cast on 26 sts.
• Knit 28 rows in Garter stitch
• New Row – K2 tog, all across row.
• Break off yarn leaving an end long enough to thread through remaining stitches.
• Cast off onto the piece of yarn.
• Pull up remaining 13 stitches tightly and fasten off.
• Stitch with a back seam then thread a running stitch through at this point to form neck.
• Stuff head then pull up thread at neck and fasten off tightly.
I have used stick on goggle eyes that I had but you could easily just stitch them on. I also used some leftover felt to make beaks.

Mine are quite big, large enough to put a small egg under, you know like a buttons one or something liike that. You could scale it down to make them smaller so for a cadburys creme egg
