1p and 2p coins are useful if you need a washer for something, but haven't got any. Just drill a hole through it.

Not suitable for plumbing though :p

I like to superglue 50p to the ground and watch people try and pick it up. 2p is a waste of time, most people just walk passed it..

I can't resist picking up the coins, no matter how small the value. It really does all add up!

My friends in school used to wind me up by throwing their coins across the school yard and watching me chase them. :D

You have to pick up our rubbish money quickly these days; before the "copper" coins go rusty.

I once found £60 rolled up in the middle of a walkway at a festival- my immediate thoughts were to ask around, but thought if i asked anyone midday at download festival if they had lost money they would all say yes :)

Went to lost & found tent who suggested I keep it as they have no way of knowing who dropped it and people chance it al day going in saying theyve lost their money only to be fibbing!

My best friend and i had a snowboarding lesson each outta it- did feel bad for the poor person but there was no way of finding them!

  • If you're feeling adventurous then delving in the cushion gaps in trains, buses and pub banquette seats can be very rewarding (the last especially on a saturday or sunday morning.. once found £2 in one delve!)
  • my gran always said for me and my sisters to pick up whatever money we saw. ive started to say to my boys to do it when we are out walking and they get to keep and put whatever they find in their banks. a good way for them to start learning about money and saving it etc
