Poll ran 21-30 Dec 2009:
Would you bend to pick up a penny?
You’re walking down an empty street, and you see a coin on the floor a few yards away, slightly out of your path.
How much would it have to be for you to step across and pocket it?
There’s no 1p option to exclude ‘a penny for luck’.
A. 2p - 34% (8473 votes)
B. 5p - 8% (1955 votes)
C. 10p - 11% (2844 votes)
D. 20p - 11% (2813 votes)
E. 50p - 16% (4130 votes)
F. £1 - 10% (2482 votes)
G. £2 - 2% (422 votes)
H. Even £2 isn’t worth it - 1% (165 votes)
I. It’s not my money, I wouldn’t pick it up - 3% (648 votes)
J. I’d pocket whatever it is and give it to charity. - 5% (1199 votes)

Back seat of a taxi for me, can be worth more than the fare.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I find money all the time. Collected around £20 in change etc within 3 months. Half to charity, and split the rest between my two kids. Since I emptied the caddy I put the change in, about the beginning of December got about £6 in it already, majority of it £1 coins too.
Currently stands at £9.08 since start of December this year.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0 -

I wouldn't notice it under all this snow and ice.0 -
I've put 10p - I'd be lucky to see anything smaller, so might miss a 20p!0
