The 2010 crazy clothes challenge

Hi all, no new purchases for me, but loads of new from old outfits coming out of my wardrobe. Only got a small pile of clothes that I'm not sure about, will try them again and if in doubt they are gone. Only got 3 items on my To Buy list, quite chuffed about that (and they are small items too)!0

Shopping day today! Technically I've not spend any more money
but have some new clothes; this is in the form of an interest free loan from the Bank of Mum; I will pay her back though and that will come from the clothes budget!
Red military-style trench coat - £5 reduced from £30.
Black jumper dress - £1.50reduced from £12.
Black handkerchief hem cardigan - £1.50 reduced from £12.
Black frilly umbrella - £2 reduced from £4.
So a total spend of £10 for me please Lula. Incredibly pleased with myself and my purchases despite spending money.
Magpye - where is umbrella from? I really need a new one - I seem to break them way too easily or else leave them behind places so don't like to spend a lot! Frilly sounds fab too!!!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction

Hi makeup, it's from Internacionale - our local one is suddenly closing down, so everything's reduced."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -
Thanks Magpye, sadly don't think there's one near me

Hi Magype
You've got some incredible bargains there - well done!!!
Hi to everyone else
I'm going shopping tomorrow, so might need some positive thoughts heading my way ....... I really don't need anything but could be tempted if I see something, so will try to be strong and resist. Will report back tomorrow evening, hopefully still with a zero spend this year.
Well done everyone for resisting so well

Just checking in, I haven't spent anymore than my inital £5, so I still have £95 left. I am trying to think of investment pieces that I have wanted for years, like a proper beige mac. £95 feels like a lot! I am also thinking about asking for vouchers for my birthday in April.
The girls that I am doing the challenge with have also been very well behaved, they have £95, £90 and £100 left each!0 -
Hey lovelies,
am housebound again today
but I suppose I'm saving money on petrol
Fab bargains there Magpye :j. Excellent work Swinstie73 on creating new outfits :T. Fantastic restraint lisainglasgow & say Well Done to the other girls too
I have been doing some virtual shopping & there are discarded virtual baskets with my purchases inscattered all across the 'net :rotfl:. I very nearly bought a dress in DP's reduced to £17.& something p. I really really want it but I have only 'earned' £9.45 so far & have already spent £5 so only have £4.45 left. To spend another £17 would mean :
1) doing some complicated maths &
2) more importantly, not buying anything else until about April  & I know I need some new t shirts for the summer so just cant do it
What a ridiculous idea this challenge is  & who's silly idea was it anyway ? ....
Trouble is I'm living out of such a small section of my wardrobe due to having outsized most of my nice clothes
will be so much happier when I can wear everything again.
Right, must stop whingeing & go to amend totals on the front page ... stay strong solvent - am beaming anti-spend vibes at you right this minute

Hello, just checking in to say that even though I'm going through a break up with my boyfriend.............I still haven't spent a penny of my £100..........woohoo!!!!! To cheer myself up I even went and look around a few clothes shops, but I resisted!!!!! I think it would be the shame of having to post it on here that stops me from buying lovely, fresh, pretty, beautiful clothes! Hahahaha!October make £10/day currently £11.020
