Hi Lula
I was in London this weekend, but didn't buy clothes. In fact, I didn't even look, maybe I'm ill :huh:I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

Absolutely you can Swinstie, they look fabulous together. Hope you enjoy wearing your new outfitSwinstie73 wrote: »T'is me again with another question!
Does anyone find they hang onto clothes for sentimental reasons??
errrrrr......... I threw out my last pair of platform shoes (from the '70s we're talking about here btw..) last year. Couldn't bear to part with them as they reminded me of so many good times. Still regret throwing them out now - ridiculous I know:o:o
Just checking in quickly and catching up on the gossip ... No spends for me for January :j.
Well done everyone, great bargains, ideas and resisting - that seems to be the theme of this thread.
And well done to Lula for keeping up with the spends and giving good advice to those of us in need :A.

I just did a wallet clearout and found I have a £10 Arcadia voucher should I find myself wanting something; I do want a new summer dress nearer the time but have none in mind at the moment.
I also have a £5 Capital Bonds voucher but I am actually probably going to be using it in Argos towards a new ironing board. Doc, I think I'm cured!!0 -
Something to declare from a mini rampage in a charity shop:99p stripywhite and blue long sleeve top (have realised need lots of plain tops to go with things).I have bought some fabric which I plan to turn into a skirt (I have never sewn before!). My neighbour gave me a sewing machine yesterday, so looking forward to having it serviced and starting to make things! Do we declare fabric in the challenge? *confused*
£1.79 L K Bennett moss green cardigan (my first piece of LK Bennett, v pleased!):T
I also got from a jumble on saturday a pair of (must now be vintage) late 80s Next black court shoes, which will now be my office heels (99p), some clarks gladiator style sandals for the summer, need reheeling but still a bargain (99p), and my friend traded me some of my bargains for a pair of unworn beautiful vintage brown boots (they were also 99p). Currently being reheeled, am soo happy as have worn a hole in the pair of boots have had for three winters now!:D
so £2.78 to declare please Lula-Hula.
In terms of mad colour combos, am wearing the stripy top with a bottle green wooly sleeveless cardigan/waistcoat, black skirt and blue tights from primark. I think I am getting away with the blue and green combo!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Hi! Please add me! I've just found this thread, and it's such a fab idea! So far this year all I've bought is a new skirt from Ebay, which was £8.20 (including postage) - I do need some new bras but I notice they are not included in the £100!
In October, I pledged to myself not to buy any new clothes for six months, but didn't quite make it as I really did need a new skirt, and bras.
Oh, just remembered I got some jogging bottoms too, will find out how much they were and come back and tell you."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Some nice charity and jumble bargains there Museumworker, esp the LK Bennett cardigan, sounds lovely. Nice to hear what people are wearing, particularly when it's re-finding and re-vamping clothes you've already got. I'm in a cream and blue striped t shirt and erm, green satin pyjamas today - off sick! Accessorising with a nice red nose and lots of tissues...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Nope, never. I think possibly because when I was a teenager my mum used to encourage me to buy stuff from Kays Catalogue which always looked trendy and glamorous but was ineveitably a huge let down and made me look like a flat chested sack of potatoes!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0
