£109 for a bra  Is it one of those ones with extra architectural support (a bit like what I need) :D

    I'm not buying it :A

  • I shall also be putting some things on big wardrobe, seems a great site.
  • have just returned from a trip into town - it's my birthday next week and have asked my DD2 for some every day perfume but did not know what I fancied (never got any at Christmas-was gutted:() .

My DD1 had told me that Next have a few nice ones that her sister could afford so I had to trapse my way through some absolutely gorgeous tops and dresses to get to where I needed to-( by the way I noticed some clever long jumper dresses with like floaty attached skirts to them really nice.) But I managed to look at what I wanted and walk out not stopping to look at anything in particular(except the jumper skirt dresses.lol)

Did have to buy bras today though- Have only one that I could call serviceable so bought in the sale from a local family discount store 4 (is this excessable?) new ones and a pair of knickers to match one bra.
Two are M & S one is Matalan- no idea about other 2 think one is George- grand total of £11.23 but one of the M &S ones was org £14 - do we have to declare undies can't remember?

Just a thought - has anyone ever re -used the material in bras (once they are past it) there are some pretty lacey parts on some and it seems a waste just to throw them away.

So all in all -quiet pleased.

Am wondering whether to ask for Next vouchers for my Birthday or do you think that's cheating?:o

    Hi everyone

Thanks for the positive thoughts raven and Lula. I managed to make it back yesterday with no clothes purchases :j, but made up for it in other areas unfortunately :(:(.

Spent some time in M&S wandering round with a couple of per una items I really "had" to have and a lovely new bag I "really had" to have. Put them all back finally as, like most of you have already found, I couldn't face up to confessing how much they would have cost :o:o:o:o.

So, still nothing spent and, even better, managed to sort out some stuff to ebay as well, so will be doing that at the weekend.

    Stay strong everyone

Just to say I have been reading another post on a shopoholic thread by NGlady who recommended this swap shop - http://www.bigwardrobe.com/
Looks fantastic and I will certainly be putting some of my clothes on there instead of Ebay!

No problem, always happy to help if anybody has any questions about the website. I always say to people I tell about the site, come say hello in the forums, get to know the regulars a little and it will be much easier as you will know who to avoid etc. They are a very friendly bunch (I spend lots of time on there at the moment lol) so im sure you will all have good time. Be warned, very addictive lol

There it was, a 'Sale' corner in M&S full of reduced clothes... and it's Friday, and I've got money in my purse and I've not spent anything on clothes for a-g-e-s ..................and
I didn't buy ANYTHING  not even tempted!
Now I know I'm ill _pale_ or else Lula's powers of persuasion are super-strong :o

(oh, and the fact that everything there looked like my 'fashion icon' MiL would wear it  might have had something to do with my willpower!)

You are all truly fabulous & your powers of resistance are starting to scare me :D

Havent been snowed in gratefulforhelp - housebound due to DDs lurgy but thats' all over now :j.

Have avoided clothes shops both real & online today but did have a bit of spend on some gorgeous new wine glasses & retro kitchen scales. wine glasses have huge capacity & this is my 3rd attempt at typing this post :o:rotfl:

Redsquirrel - for £109  I would want a bra to handwash itself. Spend some quality time on figleaves ( via quidco) dont tell anyone :shhh: but just before I started this years challenge I treated myself to 3 gorgeous new lingerie sets for the total sum of £73 .
