    Hello all.

Just to say that I haven't spent anything on clothes in January - I haven't even been round the shops to just look - it takes me a while to recover from the Christmas shopping!
I bought the Trinny and Susannah book and they tell me I'm an apple (or possibly a brick) and I do dress like a builder! So next month I'm going to have a good mooch round the shops and try and find one of the 'tight under the boobs, tummy-skimming tops' that they recommend for my shape. I'm looking forward to this and it sounds like a good excuse to try on all those flowery things that I thought were too young for me!

Good luck to everybody for Feb!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

I've been inspired to have a clear out too, after filling a box with (so far) 44 items, this is what I am left with! Haven't counted anything, but the shoes are only a teeny amount, have around 9 pairs or more of boots, more trainers, sandals etc. I am quite disgusted with how much 'stuff' I have accumulated. My sister came to help me throw stuff out and ended up rummaging through everything to see what she could get!

We both did the body shape thing and think we are both bricks - I won't post the pics but we wore a black vest and leggings and took pictures against a white door, we really did look like a couple of bricks :rotfl::rotfl:

Sigh - I've bought some stuff. I'm not doing well this year. Last year I went months and months without spending. It's the winter - honestly - nothing to do, oooh lets go shopping.. ooh this is a pretty top... buy! Oops :(

Firstly, got four new bras, £16 - these were desperately needed haha! Also got a long, checked shirt/dress thing which is really nice - branded as River Island, I got it for £6.50 - probably should have been about £30. Also got a lovely top from Asda, £6.

But thankfully, underwear doesn't count, and I didn't pay for the long top - so only spent another £6 :) - so I've now spent £15.50... not too bad for a depressing, miserable January, I guess.

OK, need to declare a spend:

£8.65 making my total spend so far this year to £18.25

I bought a two-pack of jogging bottoms from Simply Be - in the sale and with 10% off.

I've been doing a lot of gym classes in January. One of my goals for this year is to get fit so you can find me spinning or in pilates or another class a few times a week.

My old jogging bottoms were in a poor state and so I bought some more.

Don't forsee any more spends in the next few months so hoping that the next time I get the urge to spend I'll have 'earnt' it!

I returned a dress to Next, it wasn't part of my spends for 2010 as ordered it during 2009 and was part of my money from 09 but still - every £8 helps!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Hey everyone! Not posted for a while, but have been very good and resisted the pull of all fashion retailers in town! :A I'm finding it so much easier to just walk past my old haunts now and not even give them a sideways glance, I guess the old motto 'what your eye doesn't see, your heart won't grieve over' has a strong reference here! :D

Well done to everyone so far, sending no-spend vibes to each and every one of you! ;)

Also going to make my hats and sell them at the car boot too!

    Hi Blonde Ambition,

I'm so pleased that you're sticking with us and haven't slouched off with your tail between your legs (which is what I would probably have done).

Now Lula-Hula, well done for saying what needed to be said and not *feline-footing about but it's time to put your wagging finger away.

    Toodles.

Well February has started and I haven't bought a thing, so one month down only eleven more to go.I also had stacks of 'smellies and hair stuff 'for Christmas presents so I have no need to buy anything like that for ages.I think when you get older people run out of ideas of what to buy you for a present as you normally have everything you need, but I am quite happy to accept bath/shower stuff ,soaps, talc, conditioner and shampoos as it means I don't need to buy any usually till I go on holiday in August.I am being very frugal this year anyway as I want to have extra available when we go away for a fortnight later this year.I usually go with DD,plus her OH and tribe of five children so the ice cream bill alone is quite big.I have a little piggy bank that I call the lollypop tin and put all spare 5ps and coppers in there when I empty my purse every few days or so.Its suprising how much it adds up to.

Hi everyone, special well done to Blonde Ambition for sticking with us x

I'm still at zero  Nearly bought a dress from ASOS on Friday (and very nearly bought quite a few other things as well) but Sallyx persuaded me otherwise - so a massive thank you Sal.
