    Hello fabulous beautiful peoples :D

Welcome to our latest; danandgeorgie :hello:

Happy New Clothes :jto 98jdougl, debbiedeejay & gingerwhinger & well done :Afor resisting temptation to everyone else.

Franby - got be honest here; when it comes to clothes I mainly agree with elfen & raven333. To heck with what others think :p but my shopping trips have been a lot more satisfying since I was given a copy of The Body Shape Bible by Trinny & Susannah. This book deals with how to dress to flatter your shape rather than your size & has really changed how I shop.

I now appreciate that certain items I see & love are fabulous in themselves, but wont make me look or feel fabulous. I really would recommend it & think it might be available from a library if you didnt want to buy it just for yourself. It's also quite good to get someone else to help you decide on your shape so that you dont let your own body prejudices taint your vision - children are searingly honest at this . I also think Gok is fabulous & would quite like to keep him in my wardrobe too :D.

    Off to update spends ...

    xx

    Hi all,

I'm debating a fabulous pair of high-waisted trousers with braces on eBay - must resist! Almost 1/3 of my budget! Did pick up a pair of Rollasoles in Superdrug, but when I got to the counter my mother refused to let me pay for them! So still no spend so far. :D

In truth im not sure why they charge £5 for a ticket dont think its ever been asked to be honest. I think it MIGHT have something to do with the room hire charge, but i couldnt say that for deffinate :/ Also I know they do have a stand which offers light alterations to the garments im not sure if this is free but it might go towards paying this, also it is a charitable thing so i can imagin a lot of the money would go towards charity.

For anybody who isnt in leeds they have LOTS of swaps going off - i know London is next week, newcastle march i think, so go luck you might get one near you :D

The website is free though - you do have the ability to become a "Friend of bigwardrobe" and "address varified" but there not essentials, there just recommended as you might get more "swaps"

My ebay things are due to end soon - and oh dear recieved an email saying coast are offering 20% off sale prices online (free shipping whops!) and buy one get one half price in store (double whops!)

Ladies Lula is totally right about the Body Shape Bible. I have quite a few style books and this is fab. Got the new Gok one for Xmas and think I may enjoy that at the weekend.

Skint anyway at the mo but get new uniform allowance just after payday (I work in a clothes shop) and canny wait. Lula when I ebay stuff how do I alter my total to show that money? Want to do this right and will sell current stuff to make way for new if poss.

  • OK, those 2 cardies are going back to the shop, so that's £30 back into my pocket and a clearer conscience. :D

No spends to report, well not on non-essentials anyway!

I bought a few bits of jewellery from Oasis (on sale as too expensive otherwise), which will tart up some outfits nicely (not included as accessories). Also HAD to buy a new t-shirt/leggings/socks and zippy jacket (came to £30, bargain) for the gym as my gym gear has seen better days, not counting these as they were much needed (my top kept creeping up to expose a white roll of blubber) and I was scaring off everyone!

Just booked my holiday yesterday so will not be buying anything until the summer, if I even need anything.

I'm out clothes shopping with my daughter today, for her. so lots of temptation but i will not buy anything.
  • Had an invite on Tuesday to a18th birthday for tomorrow night -but since I have been in bed today with a stinking cold that- came- out -of- the- blue -and -hit -me- over- the- head late last night :( I don't even have the energy to think about what to wear if I go(doubtful if I do at this point)

But if I do feel better in time thank goodness I did all that ironing earlier on and put my wardrobe in order - at least it will be easier to decide what to put on.

Off back to bed with a lemsip now :(- I was only passing the computer to get to the kettle.
