No, fuzzybear01, it's not just you. Stuff stays in my washing basket for ages if I've got something else to wear:eek:. At least not spending and buying new stuff will gradually cure me of that habit!!
Well done everyone who's managed to spend nothing so far (including me), hope the rest of you enjoy your new bargains - and some real bargains have been found.
Hope everyone stays warm and safe in the bad conditions most of us are now experiencing. The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Some of my socks, I've had for 7 years!! I'm not a total freak though; I do bin them when they get holey.:rotfl:I just threw a pair out yesterday because the elastic finally died and they keep falling down and annoying me.:rotfl:
I've also been getting rid of lots of clothes I just don't wear. I really am making this year a positive one. The only things I really have any interest in/need for, are summer dresses, and it's too cold yet for them, I'm too broke and there are none in the shops so nothing to worry about.0 -
Just a quick update - have spent nothing on clothes so far :j
My Clothes Challenge page in my MSE challenge notebook is still nicely blank. If I stick to this at the end of next week I can buy myself some pink M&S socks as a treat ( I am obviously not as well provided for with socks as some on here are - I need to catch up !)[STRIKE]DFW Nerd number 729[/STRIKE]Debt Free & Proud0 -
Can I join too please?
I don't buy many clothes at the best of times tbh but I have lost a bit of weight recently and was very chuffed when I got into a size 16. I'm doing this challenge to nip a potential new bad habit in the bud!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
My first post and couldn't start my own thread... just wanted to say that to stretch that budget even further, I have just found/used a free delivery code for Oasis - welcome2010.
Apologies if this is old news! :j0 -
Thats an affliate code, but it does work.Learning to be 'good with money'0

Hi not spent anything yet, but still got M&S voucher from xmas, plus £20 for socks and undies. Also kind hubby has just given me his Boots voucher and £20 BHS one so and holding onto them for now. Of course this snow helps cos it keeps me holed up away from shops - just got to stay away from shopping online - my biggest weakness!grocery challenge jan 17 £ / 350.000

Well i have spent nothing on clothes so far this year but that may well have something to do with the fact that......
A.. I have no cash
B.. I live 20 miles from the nearest large town
and
C.. I have no car.
But i'm jealous of the fact that those who have spent are getting all these bargains. Boo Hoo.Debt at 01/01/2010 £130 MBNA :T

I havent spent anything so far
Had a bit of a "light bulb" moment and realised that i dont actually need anything. As i wear a uniform for work i dont wear normal clothes that much anymore and if im in a shop and see something i like, i can pretty much bet that i have something similar at home already.
I have scarfs, wraps and gloves in every colour, with handbags and purses to match
I have enough boots, trainers etc as i dont wear them that much anyway. I'm a bit addicted to PJ's and bed socks so have plenty of those.
On Boxing Day i managed to buy 2 black chunky waist belts which ive managed to combine in casual and evening outfits, so thats saved buying a new outfit.
The only thing i can see myself actually needing are jeans, maybe a cardigan/jumper and a few cheap long sleeve tops.
Well done to everyone getting bargains! :jSaving my pennies for my wedding on 10th August 2013!:j

Made my first dent in my clothing allowance today: I spent the grand sum of £1 on a pair of chunky fair isle bedsock-type slippers from Primani...! Also bought a pair for my sis in law to go in her Christmas hamper next Christmas, but that comes out of my Christmas budget... I think... (or is it my personal spending budget, or grocery budget....?) Anyway, I've only spent £1 on new clothes!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing
