  • I'm in - £200 for the year.

Last year I spent £100 on a shirt (one shirt!!!) what was I thinking and do you know where I found said shirt???? In the back of my car, in a carrier bag, waiting for me to take it to the dry-cleaners (as its dry clean only!). Shocking!

I'm in again this year please! :D

I did this last year too - spent £91 and I definitely wasn't short on clothes throughout the year :D

I've been shopping in the sales..
Butterfly dress - should have been £19, was £5
Grey and blue checked dress - should have been £20, was £3
Cream and pink striped long jumper/dress/thing... should have been £19, was £4
Black dress with sequins on the shoulders - should have been £16, was £4
Pink top - should have been £4, was £2
Long purple top - should have been £8, was £2
Black top with pink striped bottom dress - should have been £25, was £7
Shorts - should have been £7, was £1
Scarf - should have been £8, was £3

Soo, from all of my sales shopping I spent £33, but it should have been £126! So I saved £93!

BUT I bought it all with Christmas money - so none comes off my total, mwahaha! :rotfl:

DS has his 1st purchase to declare. A bargin t-shirt/ dungarees set - age 2-3 (so not needed till end of year) for £6.

Mummy resisted buying anything (well clothes wise).
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Hi can I play too please.

Will aim for less than £100 inc shoes and bags but not including undies/tights. Did try a couple of years ago but found myself buying accessories instead and probably didn't save anything. Tried again last year and did quite well until I bought 2 new dresses for DD1's wedding!

Determined to do it this year.

Will also challenge myself to only buy secondhand too (more for ethical rather than financial reasons though!)

Hey i'm checking in, making a purchase at DP with the rest of my christmas money, and getting my mum some birthday presents from there too! I'm buying things that are versatile so I can get a lot of wear out of them! Can't wait for my package to turn up now!

    Hi everyone ...

Good luck to everyone for the next few days, sales are on everywhere and way too much temptation for us all.

Lula - see you've managed to spend 99p without declaring it - what have you been buying?? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hello solventsoon,

could I please draw your attention to page 8 post number 160 ...:D

I lead by example I'll have you know :p;)

Welcome to newcomers 98jdougl, twiglet, NGlady, BlondeAmbition, raphanius, mel5king, JayneC, noselfdiscipline & Jaydee36 :hello:

Welcome back & brilliantly well done on last years challenge JaneLiz :A & excellent work on all the cheap & free clothes too :j

Mel5king - I know the dry cleaning shame , I now feel the same way about hand washing too :o, was once the proud owner of beautiful angora & cashmere jumper which needed hand washing. Wore it a couple of times & then it sat at the bottom of the laundry basket for weeks waiting to be washed. I'd eventually get round to it then the whole process would start all over again. Eventually I gave it to my sister who was delighted at the time. I've only ever seen her wear it once :rotfl: Now I check garment care lables before buying, that saves me a lot of money too ;).

I'm stunned how many peeps have signed up for this challenge & I really hope that everyone achieves their target :D

I wont be around much during the week as I'm back to work tomorrow & work 3 evenings a week as well but will do my best to update totals weekly, although really I shouldnt be having to do much updating as no one should be buying anything :naughty::rotfl:

Just to help me out please would you all type the amount spent or to be taken off your total in big/bold/coloured font like this so I can easily pick out the amounts.

Thank you & Good luck to all

    Lula
