Can I join too please? A little late I know but not spent anything so far... aiming to join quite a few challenges this year to keep on track.
My budget is £179 to do both me and OH (including underwear since I have more than enough but keep buying anyway) it's £150 of our moey plus £29 left of christmas money from my mum that was for clothes.
I love buying from charity shops, although I never bought clothes there until I started working at one and seeing how fussy they are about what clothes would sell. Got a great next jumper from there last year that had the tags on - had been eyeing it up in the catalogue, but at £32 was waiting for the sale, once the sale came they sold out of my size (grrr) a month later bought it for £1.50 and i looovvvee it

I'll sign up to this too, though I don't foresee a problem - in 2009 I bought the grand total of two bras for £1.70 each, from a charity shop, two t-shirts from Mr T on a 2 for £5 offer, and a pair of fleece gloves for £1. DD got clothes for my birthday and Christmas, we share some things and she gives me hand-me-downs. Sold some bits on eBay too. Sorted!0

Hi everyone,
Not spent anything so far but I haven't been out of the house since yesterday so no temptation. I have, however, been sorting through a wardrobe and found some things I will fit into if I lose a few pounds, so here goes for a new wardrobe :j.
Good luck to everyone for the next few days, sales are on everywhere and way too much temptation for us all.
Lula - see you've managed to spend 99p without declaring it - what have you been buying?? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi. Can I join please? I think I may start to panic so I'll need to write this really fast so I don't change my mind! I've just read all the posts while wondering what my target should be. So here goes, I'll aim to spend £100 on everything except tights and shoes for work (I have a free uniform). I have a bit of a thing for buying underwear and pyjamas too so I'm going to include these within the £100 as I genuinely think I have enough to keep me going for a while.
I'm going to allow any money made on ebay or reward vouchers (I've got an M&S credit card - it's fab!) as extra. I also travel abroad a lot with work and tend to think of foreign money as not really counting so this has to change too. I like the idea of having £100 in cash so I can really see the amount go down if I am tempted.
Actually, I have just realised that £100 is a crazily low amount compared with what I would usually spend, so it's really important that I join!

Morning all! Have woken up this morning strangely excited about this challenge! Last year I made a resolution to go one month without buying any clothes, then cracked in the M&S sale and bought a dress and cardigan which were so masssively reduced I just HAD to have them. Funny thing is, they're hanging in my wardrobe with the labels still on! What a bargain?!?
I have got loads of clothes so I should be ok, only problem is I'm about half a stone too big for a lot of them so I suppose I'll have to tackle that then I'll be able to go shopping in my own wardrobe.
Also, I've realised that I may well replace one vice with another so I'm off to find the thread about not buying unnecessary toiletries.
Good luck all!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0 -
