Have spent some of my allowance already...
£6 on 6 pairs of jeans, yes, you read that correctly.
£10 on the t-shirt I've wanted for a while, AND it was £12 off, however I had to get a size bigger since my size was out, but we can't win them all
£13.30 on the dress I've wanted for equally as long, which was about £14 off. Had to choose another colour though, so this may be returned if I don't like, we'll see
Had to pay P&P and also brought a bra which was also on sale, both of which don't count

Hi everyone. I thought I could confess my upcoming trauma to you guys. I have to go into town to return a game I bought for someone in TK Maxx (found it cheaper so am returning more expensive version - very MSE!) but where I live there is a shortcut into town through Debenhams (saves walking around the back of all the shops). I'm repeating to myself: In, out, back!
On another note, I watched an old Gok's fashion fix last night and it said the average British woman spends £2000 a year on clothes! Wow! The enormity of this challenge hit me!
And to explain the shoe thing to Noselfdiscipline, I think it's because you don't have fat days with your shoes!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0 -

You're not missing much this year, believe me. Before new years, I did buy a few items in the sales: 1 dress and 2 cardigans I'd been lusting after for ages, and one overnight bag, but other than that, there was nothing worth having. I've not bought anything this year yet, and even though I'm not taking part in the challenge, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as it's a great idea and I admire everyone who's giving it a go.:T0 -
Ooooh! please can i join this too. I'm trying everything i can to reduce my spending this year. Out of necessity i'm afraid. But i do enjoy a challenge.
I tend to buy clothes for me and my daughter not out of need but on impulse. So i'm hoping this will curtail my spending. Thanks.

Hmm already struggling with the downfalls of being back online and bored at work - lost count of the number of 'Sale' emails I've had... will resist though! Seriously considering doing a similar budget for toiletries/ make-up although I can't decide what a reasonable amount is.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Okay, take me outside and shoot me now! Actually, that's not very MSE is it? Just club me over the head. Went into town. Was pulled by some almighty force into Oasis and spent £25 (originally £65) on a dress! It's beautiful, I love it but at the same time as handing over the cash, I was thinking "that's 25% of my budget" and yet I could not stop. Thankfully I did put the £20 black sequinned bag back. That's why I had to include accessories as part of the challenge, otherwise I would just swap one bad habit for another. I thought it would be easy as I have plenty of bags and don't consider myself a "bag person". But now I'm thinking about it! I convinced myself it's ok as I will have to recoup the money from ebaying something but I can't find anything I want to get rid of. It's going to be a long year!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0
