Thanks for the text Rach - I shall bear your idea in mind but it all depends on what the greengrocers etc. has. I am NOT going anywhere near a supermarket today

Piggers - I think it's definitely time for you to get a chamberpot and put it under the bed. Have you worked out why you fall down the stairs at night but not in the day? Are you wearing different footwear or something?

    Happy birthday poppy

Lil-me - top news about your exam result - well done you!

    Welcome Dorastar

Well I left the office earlier than expected after ending up sliding my way into work on foot. There was black ice everywhere and the buses ended up being suspended. I was so glad I had my walking boots on!

They didn't stop me nearly impaling myself on some park railings on one particularly slippery corner in the dodgy part of town (Rach, I was really brave and used that route down ScRd and KGdns! judging that as it was so early all the low life would still be in bed - and they fortunately were!).

And you could tell who were temps and who were permanent staff in the office today - only the temps were in!

So left about 1pm as it was so quiet and the buses were running again so I didn't have to walk. Am going off to get the turkey with NN shortly.

    :hello:Hi,

I can't get on here very often now that I have DSs at home.

Lil_me Well done on your results:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

pollybear I am pleased your car passed its MOT. It is so important to have transport at this time of year.

skintscotslass I am thinking of asking my local garage if they can lend us a landy as our 4x4 has failed its MOT and we have nothing spare to pay to get it back on the road. Local garage are friends :D

I have DS1 cleaning and mopping all hard floors and DS2 vacuuming all of upstairs. DS2 has also made me a cuppa and handed over the laptop.

Today's mishap in this house is that DS3 has gone skiing with the car keys. So despite digging a car out and putting it in the village we can't get anywhere as we don't have any keys.

I have a long list of last minute things to pick up and doctors appointment at 5pm. So he had better be home as I am not paying for a taxi.

The turkey has been delivered - it looks huge! When DH gets home I'll get him to help me weigh it with his fishing scales (DD1's work give them a turkey at Christmas but she's on holiday so it's come to me, and no weight on it).

It's pouring with rain now, I hope it melts some snow but it will probably just wash the salt off my path so I may have to redo that later if the rain stops.
