gratefulforhelp wrote: »juliejim no, you dont need to stay out of my way! Not grrring at all TAs, nursing assistants, medical receptionists or legal secretaries, just the ones who claim to be what they are not.
example "why do you need to see the doctor?" from the non-medically trained receptionist.
I've done washing up, answered the phone to DH who was very worried as he's just driven through the town my parents live in and he wanted me to phone them and warn them that there is freezing rain there and it's v treacherous and two cars had come off the road - so I phoned them, they were on their way home from Wakehurst Place so warned them to be careful. My grandparents were with them and my sister said she would let them know too.
Then I went and tidied up the mouldy corner so we can sort out the shoe cupboard. It's really bad. I've got a really tickly nose now, don't think DH is going to want to help me with it as he reacts really badly to mould. But I just can't do it on my own. It's completely overwhelming.
I did quite a bit of shredding to make more room to empty the shoe cupboard.
How did you get on Ashia?
Welcome Dorastar
Triker I have often wondered that, they are symptoms of depression too, but I do wonder about ME. How are you these days?"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

I just wondered if the freezing rain in my parents town (which is a mile from Gatwick) would affect the airport - it seems there is disruption there. What terrible weather http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8427781.stm
Going to get out binbags, cleaning cloths and mould spray now"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Random clothes flung into one suitcase. I seem to be taking enough for a month, as I've just realised that I need to put washing things, tights, socks, shoes and thermals in another bag.
Went to look for the safe key to get out my jewellery (it's been there since my last work trip) and I can't find it
I'll get everything else done, then have another look... Suppose I should start putting stuff in the car too...0 -
Hi everyone
I have been up for hours but keep getting itnterupted trying to catch up - I had to go to bed early last night as i was shattered - feel better today but have a busy day ahead with very little help so its going to be interesting!!!
Woke to about 3 inches of snow - nothing compared to what you guys have and its unusual for us to miss it - my DB phoned and they have 8-10 inches so kids are happy - we will have to wait until tomorrow to see if Mother is going to drive or if DB will have to go for her.
the road around here have been closed because of the snow and accidents but I think they are getting better all the time.

Oh dear...we are officially snowed in! No buses and I'm certainly not driving. DD and I were very cruel and laughing our heads of at one of our neighbours who got her car stuck in the snow. Luckily, NN next door helped her out. Big disaster though...the grit is finished! So I dug my emergency bag of salt out of the garage and NN is trying to make the place a bit safer :A
My aunt has a land rover, so I guess we can borrow that, but that will need to wait til tomorrow when OH is here as I don't know if I'm insured to drive and tbh I really dont want to drive in the snow, 4x4 or not.
I think I will have a nice long shower and make myself look gorgeous for OH's arrival  :rotfl:0 -
My HHW turned into lie on the bed for an hour to see if the room would stop spinning! I hope I'm not coming down with anything - I've already got a bit of a cold and I haven't got time to be ill.
Just having something to eat and then I'll see how I feel - I've had a couple of parrots as well to see if that helps.

Decluttered lunch and a load of chores, still have ironing and prescription repeats to arrange, and to tell the GP she has to re-refer DD1 to paeds on the say so of a receptionist.
eta interesting comments about medical receptionists, but they are not bound by the same absolute rules of confidentiality, as my friend found when the receptionist in the obstetrics department spread it round her place of work that she was pregnant before she had a chance to tell anyone!
Welcome dorastar and good luck, starting at Christmas.
