Chocolate coins :p Try this thread - some poeple have posted starters. We have snoked salmon on HM granary bread and a bottle of Champagne, about an hour or so before the meal (it's a family tradition from DH';s Great Aunt who was a famour antique dealer ;) )

If you want to make somethng, mackerel pate is easy and quick. Serve with crisped split pitta, and slices of apple, to make it look chefy :T

eta one of my tutor group said to me last week

"Its true, isn't it, that your blood is blue while its inside your body and red when it comes out?"

"er...no" I said "Its bright red with lots of oxygen in and slightly less bright red with less oxygen in, who told you that?"

"My mum, she must be right, she's a nurse":eek:
Part human part lobster maybe :p

I'd check out where this child's mother works and avoid it like the plague!

DW emptied, porridge made and eaten. Need to dress so I can start getting stuff done.

Think I've worked out what tripped the switches (although not why yet)... electricity monitor in cooker socket (now dead) and dehumidifier in utility room (which is on the RCB switch as I use a socket there for the hedge trimmer) which where the only things on overnight apart from the phone base station.

:jMy parcel's arrived - kids are now fighting over it but hey! The DS game is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games which we've already got so I may put that on ebay.

If it's new and sealed you could perhaps exchange it (this is a bit naughty so look away now) take it to a well know chain and tell the SA that it was bought as a gift but your kids already had it could you exchange it for one of equal value?

Equally some shops do exchanges anyway...

or check the price on Amazon too - I sold DS games on there at good prices...

Bed stripped, duvet cover and pillowcases in Wm, ironing done.
What I SHOULD do is clean the living room NOW while it's empty. And get my a$$ in gear because I am WAAAAY behind..

Use the free labour currently inhabiting your house... or kick them out for the day, warning them that anything left out of place will end up either in a binbag or a hoover.
