Poppytime - Happy Birthday
Managed to get most of my ironing and wrapping done yesterday.
Thanks for watch measuring suggestions chaps. I wrapped a bit of ribbon round one of the twin's arms whilst he was watching spongebob. He didn't even notice!
I took the round to the watch repair guy and explained there was a piece of ribbon in the box to measure by. When I went back to collect the watches, he said he had only altered on as he could only find one piece of ribbon, so didn't know how small to make the other. I forgot to mention they were twins so both watches were to be the same size!!

Morning all
haven't caught up with the thread yet though I will do shortly. Opera was good last night although I spent most of the time thinking I'd left the front door open (why do I always worry about that!). Brilliant night out when you think 3.5 hours entertainment and the tickets only cost us £12.50 each. We got home about 12.15 as it finished late. Had quite a nice walk home from the station - everywhere was frozen hard and it was rather magical!
DH is off work today, first plan when he gets up is to get the bed stripped. I have a couple of appointments and need to see if i can re reserve the thing I didn't pick up yesterday from argos, then will get to my friends after my hair appointment at 2pm.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Bother got to the checkout and the sale stuff I wanted was no longer available - money saved I guess - off to the shower. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Hi everyone,
Happy Birthday Poppytime. :bdaycake:It's my DD2's 3rd birthday today too. We've got her a silver fold up scooter with 3 wheels so its a bit steadier and it lights up so she's really pleased with it. She's always trying to go on DD1's 2 wheeled scooter and falling off so hopefully she'll be a bit better on this one.
Will post my list although I'm not sure how much we'll get done today. I was planning on doing a bit tidy and clean downstairs last night but DD1 was sick and I felt really sick so went to bed at 7.30pm. I asked DH to tidy the lounge but he didn't even manage to move his plate or glass from having his tea!
Anyway, here's the list.
Monday Mayhem..- S&S the kitchen
- Dust round the whole downstairs
- Vacuum through downstairs.. and the stairs!
- Mop the kitchen floor!
- Spend half an hour doing NOTHING!!.. absolutely nothing!!!! Just sit.. and relax with a drink and a treat!

It won;t come on and I can't light the pilot light
I'll set DH onto it once he's up
Woke up at 6am... realised it was a bit quiet... no boiler noises :eek:... went to switch on light... no light. Looked outside - there were some lights on.
Had to find my way downstairs to where I'd left the torch after checking the gas meter last night (good think I'd done that or I wouldn't have known where it was!). Checked the fuse box and two switches had gone - cooker circuit and RCB main switch (which isn't the one the cooker is onand anyway, it was off at the wall). They must have gone in the middle of the night... so I need to find out whether there was a power cut during the night, as I guess the surge might have tripped them.
Fog this morning, so I won't be leaving for a while, which is probably a good thing seeing how much I have to do! I went back to bed after sorting out the electricity and switching the heating on, as I'm shattered!0 -
Happy birthday Poppy - have a fabulous day xx
 Glad I make you laugh LL - well, I think I am!!!:rotfl:
My list:
Wednesday Mayhem
mop the bathroom
Change any bedding
Phone someone
Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself.
Vacuum the whole of the upstairs!
Tonight we also need to:
- download games onto DD's new phone
- sort out cards for DS
- download an itunes voucher
- wrap box for parent's hamper
- print out a photo for my mum and dad from my sister
I've wrapped the hamper and have sorted stocking for M&D.
I've got some really bad stomach pains:eek:. At least I know it's not AF. Mmmmm thinking about it I've not eaten since yesterday lunchtime as I wasn't hungry last night. Probably that. Before you shout at me - yes, I know it's stupid not eating for that long and it is rare for me!!
Right, going to declutter children that aren't mine and then work xx0
