bday2.gifPoppy!! Hope you have a great day hon. present.gif and also to Sunnygirls DD2.

Ok... after going back to sleep at around 0600, I was just woken by the phone and the dentists stroppy receptionist telling me that the dentist cannot get into work today as she lives in the middle of Dartmoor and is surrounded by sheet ice and cannot drive. Good job I am not in pain yet again. I am sure it is true but out of my window there isn't even a frost.

Anyway - OH is off work today and decided to cook me some porridge as we are both up. He is following the instructions to the letter only decided as 40g of porridge each didn't seem enough he would double it up. So is now complaining that it uses too much milk!! I didn't have the heart to tell him that I use half milk half water.

So I am now de-cluttering a mountain of porridge.

    Have a good day all!

:jMy parcel's arrived - kids are now fighting over it but hey! The DS game is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games which we've already got so I may put that on ebay.

Better get back to doing another HHC - I can put the TD on now - it's really noisy so I didn't want to put it on before in case I didn't hear the door!

    HHC 10 - 10.30 anyone?

Just spent an hour catching up....
    now to find my list!

But need help as very short on stocking bits for an 8.5 year old girl (I have a DS so not used to pink bits) - she's rather a grown up young lady. Ideas please as will be doing a quick dash through town tomorrow on way to Mr S for last minute fresh stuff.

shouldn't be too hard - smellies, little bits of jewellery, anything sparkly, little notebooks and nice pens/pencils, socks, knickers, lip balm, trying to think what else my mum used to get us?! I used to love my stocking (still do actually!)

greenbee - email recall never works for me! Have a good journey, or at the very least a safe one!

pigpen - i'm not surprised you feel like that, given the year you've had. I had a pj day (or half day) on Mon and it really helped!

dusty/lil_me I was just talking about grit bins with someone the other day. I wonder if they've been shelved. I've not seen any down here. You can always phone the council, someone in highways will know where they are!

soappie - i've sent you a text about a starter!

EEEEEK, woke up this morning to about 4 inches of snow:eek: Would be fine if i didnt have to go out, but i do. Need to pick up my brother from the station:j and go to my parents, however just spoke to my dad and apparently cars are abandoned all over the road at theirs as its sheet ice! Hmm, not sure what to do:confused:

OH abandoned trying to get into work today, we have about 7-8 inches snow, have the radio on at the moment and it sounds like Edinburgh is not moving very fast lots of overturned lorries on the motorways. Safe travelling if you need to go out.

My tesco delivery is due at teatime fingers crossed that the roads are cleared by then.

Dusty - grit bins i am lucky enough to have one beside the drive way, oh and thank for the heads up about the fat face sale will have a look shortly.

pigpen - try for a PJ day if you can we had a quiet one yesterday and feel so much better today for it..

list wise need to go and find and update.

I wish I had time for a pj day..

I have a fair chunk of shopping to do still.. and my mother wants me to go do her shopping for the children.. she is incapable.. the children are meant to be off to KH's today. the 2 large pinks are meant to be going shopping .. must remember to thrust boots vultures at them! with the words 3-4-2 ringing in their chell-likes.

The whole hovel needs cleaning.. and.. I got up to go to the loo at half 6.. and promptly fell half way down the stairs.. AGAIN.. I now have another bruise on my derriere!!!

I think I may get a chamber pot and not go pee in the middle of the night ever again!! I was however up 3 times lat night! Then up with Mimi.. and Tiddles... and the cat...

    No time for a list..

Off to get dressed.. sort the washing.. kick girls out of bed and then the door.. and then probably sit and fret about all the things I SHOULD be doing but aren't! lol
