Does anyone have a recipe/link for some christmassy-type sweets or cakes the kids can make to give to the family as presents? Just something simple we can wrap in sellophane with ribbon. I meant to order some ingredients for White Christmas Candy but forgot to order the coconut and cherries needed when I did my Mr T order last night

    TIA x
    I need direction to perfection...

Choccybix - we've just made chocolate chip cookies and then written the name of who we're giving them to with white writing icing and drawn on a few simple snowflakes. They look quite nice if a little homemade:rotfl:.

We have a blizzard here. It's really bad! Just had a note through the door to say a neighbour has taken in a parcel for us. Not sure why I didn't hear the door but such is life. I think it's my main present (window boxes for below the kitchen windows where I can grow herbs - obviously I'll be waiting a few months :rotfl:).

I've gone round the skirting with masking tape (good idea - thank you). It's mostly on the wall with just a small overlap on the laminate flooring so if it does mark the floor it will be (eventually) covered by the skirting board. It looks awful so hopefully DH will do something about it! I've found draft excluder for the door (the receipt in the bag says we bought it December 3rd 2007!!!!) so I've fitted that. I've text DH to say the joiner is coming on December 29th. He's livid! The plan is he'll now do the job so that I have to phone and cancel which will be embarrassing (well it would be if I'd booked a joiner in the first place :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).

S/s where it's needed now xx

You asked about the roads - DH says that the roundabouts in Newbury are a bit slushy, but once he was onto the A34 and M40 it was fine :j

:xmastree: is up so we're just waiting for DS to return so that we can decorate it :j
