Nope... I need to sort out some decent fuel.
I can't get the drive clear. The snow is too powdery and won't stay on the spade (I don't have a shovel) and if I sweep it, it clogs the brush and I can't get it clear. So I'm giving up and I'm going to hibernate until after christmas!0 -
Kazwookie - it sounds like you've had an amazing experience. Doesn't that just sum things up....I dread to think of how many presents my children will open on Christmas day. We do limit what we give them but they get presents off my clients, neighbours, friends and relatives. They do appreciate what they get but not to the extent that little boy must have appreciated what you gave him. How lovely. If you ever go again let me know and maybe I could send you a few little bits to take over. Hugs to you xx0

Just having a cuppa, then to the wrapping. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Leg wax cancelled... CBA to walk to the bottom of the road to get a lift there and I've got too much else to do.
Have called the friend who is coming over later (she drives a small tank, so will be fine) and asked her to see whether she can pick up any salt or grit for me, in return for being fed mince pies!
Better go and get some more done...
ETA - just checked work, and my first research paper was published last night :j:j:j0 -
Good afternoon
Been working hard in DS1s room, we have 2 black sacks of little clothes for my nephew so faranother box of junk too, we will have to put it all in the garage for now as it would fill a skip! This is what made me so upset reading kaz's post knowing how little some have. Must admit I am feeling guilty as we've spent about 1/5th what we usually do on the boys, it's crazy as they still have 5 gifts each, but suppose I have got into the habit of spending so much. DP not helped, he got out of bed at 1pm & went out in one of his strops, no idea why probably so he doesn't have to help and probably to his Mother's. He is another one I usually spend a lot on, this year about £20 not £2-500 & I think he's a tad upset about it as he'd been hinting about a new model car. I just can't do it. I have asked him to get some gritsalt if he can...doubt he will. Steps outside the door are sheets of ice & I don't even want to risk going to the bin via the front door. Avon order arrived, amazon order arrived just waiting for lieele Ms which is due tomorrow. Of course not a thing wrapped & unsure where most of it is.
Right back to work, we still have no tree, doubt we will now, ((hugs)) to you all xxOne day I might be more organised...........

Well I'm back from my little trip out, someone should really stop me going. I did go and visit my friend and then met another on the outskirts of town but then I went into Homebase and bought ANOTHER tree, thats 2 6' and 2 7' I have now but the one I wanted in the middle room DD wanted on the landing . So now I have to undecorate the tree I started last night and redeocrate the new one. Oh and i got loads of rolls of paper at 29p a roll and tags at 9p a pack, . I have so much in my stash now that I dont actually need any for about 3 years :rotfl: oh and loads of new baubles like a pack of 50 silver ones for 49p  :rotfl:
As I didnt like the drive out this morning although the main roads were clear there was fog and black ice that DH told me about I have decided I am not going over to work tomorrow, just havent let them know yet and I left all my cards and secret santa with my friend who is going to take them to someone who goes in tomorrow. Oh and it didnt get above 0 degrees the whole time I was out and alot of the time was -2.
Greenbee I hope you get home tomorrow (although I cant remember which village you're heading for, the one I thought it was it obviously isnt if you are going via Bircham!)
