Washing hung up to dry, dressing gowns in to wash, showered and lunch eaten so there's no more putting it off: I need to head out. Then when I'm back I need to decide which route to take into town later. I am half tempted to phone DH's dad and see if he wants to go out tonight with DH instead, I'm really not in the mood! But I think DH's looking forward to it so i should make the effort i guess.

Valli - thanks for the list about travelling in the car, so much in life can be make easier with just a little thought and preparation. We keep blankets in the car at all times and sweets and a first aid kit but think I'll check what else is in there

Tooch - good luck with that! I checked pets and animals on Friday

Greenbee did the stove make it through the night?

    JJ that is fantastic news

Summer hugs sweetie mine were driving me senseless last night when I was doing a top fishwife impersonation

    Diva
thinking of you sweetie and of course LL and Toots.

    Piggers
I'm so sorry to hear of the terrible car crash my thoughts are with their friends and families who must be shocked and distraught.

Right kids are at DH work for the Christmas Party so I must not waste the time.

    HHC?

Hi folks, not even gonig to make an attempt to read what you all have been up to,but hugs to you all, I do miss reading about you all.

Here is a bit about what I have been up to:-

I have been miles up the jungle, visiting GS's great grandma, she must be about 90 or so!! and all her extended family, but boy did I miss cilivation, I slept next to a cow byre, the smell was just unbelievable and the flies.......but it was a case of getting on with it, I was offered great grand ma's bed! but turned it down, I think that was more alive with insects than the cow byre!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Met GS, 2nd cousin (I think) he is 13, and lives with great grand ma, as none of the family want him! very sad, and that kid has nothing, and I mean nothing, I asked where he slept and was informed with gt grand ma, he has to his name, 2 school shirts and shorts, 3 other shirts and shorts, 2 pairs of flip flops and a bike......

So me being me, I found him a bed in the upstairs bit of gt grand ma house, had the village men carry it down stairs outside, got them to hose it down, once it had dried, the village men then arrived to paint it with (I think) linseed oil, when that is dry they moved it in to the bedroom bit.. It still has not blanket or matress but it is a start.......

I then set too with another lady from the village on gt grand ma mattress, fly lady fashion, (pigpen would be proud) we beat it with sticks, once we got the village men to move it outside away from the outside living area and moved the chickens that were scratching around away.

We then had the bed out, and swept the bedroom bit, the dust and filth, well I'll leave you to guess about that.

A few hours later I was taken to a local town which oddly had a very good sports shop, I bought the other child a football, and sports shirt, when I gave then to him, he fell thai style to my feet, in thanks, I had spent about 8 pounds on these 2 items, any one would think I had given him the world, by now I was in tears, and had to leave for the toilet (hole in the ground) to compose myself.

Please all keep warm and safe xxxxx
