Kitchen all clean now - just a hot spot to deal with

SSL All these cards are simply created by the manufacturers and then people feel the need to buy them. In the past that was what the blank cards were for, sending a message if you felt like it not because of some commercial pressure. I hope she resists - I'll set up a facebook group Rage Against Cards!

Because, that would involve him (KH) seeing her (DD) and that takes time and effort as he lives about 5 miles away. She has only seen him once since August and that was for parents evening. He took the huff because she forgot his birthday  In retaliation, he sent her birthday card on her birthday, so it arrived a day late. I've kept my mouth shut for years because DD doesnt want me to make a fuss and make things worse. Oh and also DD forgot SM's birthday and then forgot their wedding anniversary. To be fair, she wasnt invited to the wedding (no one was) and was told about it the following day. *sigh*
  • Evening all. I'm shattered, kitchen floor cleaned, yet more washing on.

SSL - I agree with everyone else and have never heard of it. !!!!!! what will cards be for next?!

DH got home in 45 mins and reckons he passed about 10 buses on the way! He's not grumpy at all and was glad to have his dinner almost ready. We're going to snuggle under blankets and watch the next few episodes of 24 tonight. Might go and get my pjs on in fact :D

He's just doing some online money bits (monthly cashflow, cc bills etc). Think I'll go and make a pot of tea.

Carlsberggal - thanks - I'm hoping too he arrives nearer 8am than noon!

Skintscotslass - a congratulations on your pregnancy card? Never knew they did those - must be another ploy by Hallmark to raise profits...

Dusty - love the new RAC - I'd join it!
Soappie you look like a paparazzi, hope you enjoy your bath - I guess you don't have a tank with an immersion.
    .

No - no immersion on the tank.

Oddjob - may you have a wonderful Christmas and a splendiferous new year xx

I'm back from NN's all bathed in beautiful hot water and roasty toasty for a while at least. BB spent the first half hour just curled up on NN's lap warming through! Poor thing... If any of the other neighbours saw me though, it would have confirmed the fact they think I'm mad. I went next door wearing the dressing gown on top of everything and the beanie hat!

Chatted with DD a bit as she came home before I went. Seems what happened last night was she left about 10pm and then got stuck on a snowy hill in the middle of nowhere. She called her friends who were still at the venue and they drove out to find her.

There was no way, in the end, that she (nor they) could get the cars up the hill so they had to reverse back down and then follow a really long way home which included gritted roads but also some ice. At least they went in convoy. It was 2am apparently when she got in and she said she'd never been so pleased to see a hot water bottle in her life. She's disappeared off to her boyfriend's to get warm there!

Ham is smelling lovely so I'm going to peel some potatoes and stuff
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
