Evening lovelies, I’ve read but forgotten apart from posting happy b’day to tabby. Been worried about DS all day as he’d been stuck in Düsseldorf airport since yesterday afternoon, he should of landed at our local airport (Leeds/Bradford) at 9.00 pm last night). Instead he had lots of alcohol with the 1st Yorkshire Regiment who were also flying back and sleeping on a tiled floor!!! Anyway he got home this afternoon to much relief on my part.
Noticed that Rose has been to job centre with DH – so glad something is getting sorted for you both xx
Pigpen – I would ignore it this year and wait and see what happens at next major event. But I bet you won’t!!!
Soappie – love the hat. Shoudn’t be surprised that you hid your face behind the camera should I?!! LOL Warming vibes for you and also 8 am visist tomorrow from BG not lunchtime
Sooooooooooo envious of you lot who have finished work for xmas, working till 12 xmas eve for me but then I’m off till the 2nd of Jan as they make me save 3 days of my annual hols to be able to shut between xmas and new year. !!!!!! we are open xmas morning I haven’t a clue, if anybody rings up and asks for a valuation on their property or to arrange a viewing is a sad sad person IMO; they should be peeling their sprouts or summat!!!
Walked to work this morning and nearly killed myself in the process; I’m so worried about falling and doing more damage to the arm that has the chrome elbow that I walk like a tippy toes person who needs the loo – even with wellies on!!

Hi Oddjob hope you and yours are all well, MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all xx0

My cards came today so a huge thank you to eveyone and especially to LadyL for her stirling work. They are now up rond the mirror over he fireplace.
OH has gone to the gym but I have come home as someone has to look after the pooch - I could go later but I don't think I should venture out again, I had to de-ice the inside of the windscreen to get home from work.
Some of the roundabouts on the way home were like skating rinks, though the gritters were just loading up when I left the depot.
I have almost warmed up now - so I will head off and tackle the list, I also have to finish the woolly hat I started knitting last night:D0 -
More about cards...
DD's Step Mother is pregnant. Her Dad phoned her 2 weeks ago to tell her and she was the last to know, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins etc all knew before her. Now he is giving her grief because she hasnt given SM a 'Congratulations on your pregnancy' cardEven her Grandad is getting in on the act and trying to get her to buy a card. !!!!!!??? Is this a new thing? Does one send a card when one is told that a close family member/friend is pregnant? I didnt know you could buy such a thing. Personally, I am old fashioned and wouldnt do anything until the baby is born safe and sound. She has now got a Christmas card with 'Mum to be' on it and has sent that.
What does everyone else think?
PS Dusty...I'm no good at 'poking' on FB so have written 'poke' on your wall0 -
SSL - I personally think it's utter rubbish to buy a card like that!!!! Never heard of them myself either! Like you, I wait until baby is born safe and sound, yes get a little bit of something further down the line like bootees or knitting cardies but now elseTo love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0
