  • I had a terrible night's sleep last night, I woke up at least every hour, and sometimes more often than that. I've felt terrible all day, like that virus I've been fighting off has come out. Sadly we had to cancel seeing some of our friends this evening, which is disappointing. But I feel a little bit more human this evening. Still quite headachy, nauseous and dizzy though. DH has been great at massaging my neck and shouders which was lovely.

DH has been very good and sorted out putting washing into the TD, and later we are going to change our bedding (we bring our own bedding with us, already made up, as it saves washing for mum, but this time I brought a change of bedding with us so we can wash and dry it all before we go home) and I'm going to go and empty the DW now. And then go and watch a film, and possibly do some more knitting!
eta rosepink I have seen that thing before on your Mum's computer. Does she have it on US setting instead of UK?
Hmm, that's interesting. Dunno why they have that on, but my Dad is a computer whizz so I won't try and change anything as I will get into big trouble!

Congratulations to Nikki on your engagement. One of my friends got her wedding dress in Monsoon reduced to something rediculous like £50 cos it had a small tear in it, which once she'd sewn up, didn't show, and she got her shoes on Ebay for £10. She had a very cheap wedding, so it can be done easily - I know pigpen has experience at organising MS weddings.
That sounds a bit like me - we got married in Sept 07 and in the January sales the Jan before I got a dress from Monsoon that was 80% off! And my wedding shoes cost 12 quid (sorry I can't find the pound symbol). One friend did the flowers (she's a florist), one did the photos (she's a photographer), my sister made our invitations and I decorated envelopes to send them in with heart stickers, and the cake came from Waitrose and was a chocolate cake, cost a fraction of a proper wedding cake. The only expensive thing was the meal, we had it in a restaurant to save stress, but my parents paid for that. It did mean we had to limit how many were there but it was a wonderful day, so relaxed and happy and all our favourite people were there.

    Hugs Poppy

Congratulations Nikki, that's wonderful news! Have you got a ring yet? When is the big day?

MOAM sorry to hear about your back, hope that's better soon. Well done on all your bargins!

Has anyone heard from Feefeelabelle? I hope she is ok

thrifty no, I add both in with some tablets. Additional rinse aid with some gets the marks off. It states on the article that fairy bursts are ok but you may need salt and/or rinse aid with them. They can't IMO make all in one tablets to suit every single DW and everyones water area. If I have tablets which my DW struggles to dissolve I crush them into powder.
One day I might be more organised...........

thanks they arent active bursts I've got off my bum and looked! they are just Fairy, and are like plasticy capsule things with powder and liquid in them. I will get the 3 seperate things and have a go and see how brilliant they come out, then use the Fairy things up with a bit of extra salt and rinse aid. will try Tesco's Daisy things too thanks everyone

Thanks Dusty (and MOAM for the PMs). I only live 20 mins away from a Big City, and I used to live and work in the centre. I will make myself go, just not this week :o. By mutual agreement we are on a no 'not essential' purchases ban so this is my last chance for a firtter for a while.

Littles are snoring happily and I want to go to bed but can't till the teenagers go up at 10 .
