    Morning everyone

no more snow ....yet...but its jolly cold in fact its freezing!!

Tooch.. Go wake her up... :D.. if she's no at school it won't matter... but she will be so excited.. I love doing things like that.. :D

Well.. KH has his papers through fromthe solicitor.. and while he says he doesn't agree with the 'terms' he is currently saying he won't contest it.. so.. it should.. in theory.. all be sorted by Easter.. providing the mediation stuff goes ok and he doesn't turn into the biggest twerp the land has ever lain eyes upon!!

I have had a hormonal offended moment.. or I'm not sure if I am actually justified.. OH's mum wrote a christmas card for me and family... and a separate one for OH.. does that say to you lot that she 'disapproves'? Or that she has negative feelings towards me or my family? OH is upset I am offended by that.. it is like denying our relationship IMO.. but he just shrugged it off saying his maybe has money in etc.. so what! It isn't like I'll run off with it.. or she could have put a smaller envelope in with money for him.. I'm not so sure I am being silly.
thats good news piggers that KH is not going to contest the divorce - fingers crossed that it all goes to plan.
with regard to the Christmas card I do think you are being silly ....sorry....but I think IMHO that you are reading too much into it......you had a horrible weekend with the hassle with KH and were probably feeling a bit 'fragile' generally....... I am guessing the lady is in her 50's and most probably quite accepts the relationship but since you are still married doesnt feel she can quite make you a proper couple yet IYSWIM.......I dont think its disapproval at all (she just wouldnt have given you a card) or negative feelings either just that she maybe thinks its early days to put you all on the same card - its the sort of thing my mother would do:rotfl:- has she met the children?
If she hasn't then i would certainly be thinking that she will wait until she knows them before she makes you all into one big happy family.
Maybe OH is right about there being money in his - look at it from her point of view - she doesnt know that you wouldnt take it - even though her son is living with you and will have told her that you are the greatest thing since sliced bread she doesnt know you that well does she?
I dont think she means any offence by it .... if it were me i would be pleased she actually gave me a card for me and my family as this is the first Christmas she has known you.
Maybe I am too trusting and always looking for the good in people but I wouldnt worry about it - not unless she has given you other cause for concern of course - I would just forget about it - you dont want a silly thing like a Christmas card come between you and OH. And anyway you dont live with her!!!!

Well my oven man has arrived and it is looking good apart from the fact that he has taken all the shelving outside at the front of the house  Didnt really want it to be a public viewing :rotfl:

Pigpen - I wouldnt be worried about OH having a separate card. Could be a case of Mums and their little boys  The fact that you have also had a card is a good sign imo

Thanks to Pigpen, Toots and Soappie for a job well done :T You have certainly motivated me. A big thank you

With a bit of luck and a conscious effort I should get through todays list :D

Hope everybody else is feeling festive - hugs to all x

This was also on a brilliantly funny film called A Christmas Story. Very nostalgic, set in the 1930s about a boy who wants a bb gun for xmas. One of my faves and one I'm watching this week :)

    :bdaycake: Happy birthday 3tabbycats!

Wow, the list looks fun this week :D.

Re the stockings. The reason they're already filled is because as the kids got older we found it more and more difficult to fill them without waking them on xmas eve. Last year, we bought new stockings but doubled up without the kids seeing. Now they hang theirs up, but I keep the other 3 out of sight already filled and, hey presto, a quick swap over xmas eve ;) :T;):T
    I need direction to perfection...

Thanks for that Toots I'll have a peep. And Pigpen I agree with what Toots has said. I wanted to reply but she's put it so much better than I could!
