    Afternoon ladies

Sounds like it was a fantastic day yesterday :T:T:T

I managed to wake at 1230 today  although I was vaguely aware of DH bringing me a cuppa at some point which was stone cold by the time I woke.

Have since only managed to cook some brunch and have a shower and am still sat in dressing gown. Will dry my hair and dress in a min then go out for a walk with doogie as my head is feeling really sluggish. Think I got dehydrated yesterday (and not from alcohol, I only had the one glass)

Hope you all enjoy the rest of the day

    Sorry for missing some Birthdays.:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:
JJef hope your DD is ok, how scary.
Pillion thats lovely of your father.
Mof77 I'm glad your DH enjoyed his gift.
    Rach hugs.
Pigpen Happy Birthday, hope you have a lovely day.:bdaycake:

My plan today is very little, PIL invited us down for dinner again which was lovely. Everybody is feed and watered so think i might have a snooze for awhile and then start to fly abit, most rubbish is bagged up and ready to go out and the washing is nearly all done.

I've also ordered the rest of the kitchen from B&Q and delievery will be the 13th Jan so i'm over the moon because the time we were in they said it could be late Feb or March. :j:j:j
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Hello everyone.

We had a lovely day here. Girls got up at 7.45am. We set DD1's alarm and told her if she woke up earlier she could open presents from her stocking then go back to sleep until her alarm went off....and she did!

We had my family round for egg and bacon muffins in the morning, had a couple of hours peace then went to my mum and dads for xmas dinner, then to IL's with SIL, her DH & 3 kids and other SIL & her 2 kids. Busy, chaotic, loud, but lovely.

DD1 is now skating round the lounge on her new roller skates, listening to her new ipod, taking photos now and again with her new digital camera. IL's got her the skates, my parents the ipod shuffle (my dad's old one he didn't want but she thinks its brand new) and we got her the camera. She wanted one of the £50 kids unbreakable cameras but we decided that she'd decide it was too babyish in 6 months time so got her a £30 one from Tesco.

DH is at the football this afternoon so we're having a quiet afternoon and evening today.

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone on this thread. I can honestly say this is the first year that everything had been cleared, decluttered and tidied so early and I actually sat down with a glass of mulled wine at 8.45pm on xmas eve, then got in bed early and filed my nails and generally chilled out. Xmas day morning was easy even though we had family round for breakfast. The DW had been emptied and the kitchen S&S'd the night before so it was really easy to chuck all the pots in the DW so we had a lovely chill out before dinner and wasn't coming back to a messy house last night! :j Just made it all so much more enjoyable for me.

Happy birthday Pigpen. Hope you have a lovely day!

Thanks for posting that link Triker...might go tomorrow or Monday.

Pillion...that was a really good idea of your Dad's

jjeff....hope your DD is OK. Must have been scary for you all.

mumoffour77...glad you had a nice day. Your kids sound so lovely and thoughtful.

Gonna check out the next sale online now.

rach awww bless you, I am pleased the gifts were ok and you are not feeling too delicate today with the bruises
jjef hope DD is ok, I was thinking the same as pigpen
Triker, well done to him for even braving the sales, we don't. HM stuffing is wonderful, my DH fave, what did you use? I love sausage meat, walnut & apple :)

Had a small sleep in today, think I managed to get away with a Gordon head ache :) Just still feel pleurgh with this cold. Little M loved his DVD player, pleased I didn't get the argos one as the one with the swivel screen is so much better for him, keeps his fingers off the buttons!

DS2 on the drums (Guitar Hero) he's driving me daft....someone said you can get silencung pads which I think I will look for.

Going to make DP some hot beef buttues & stuffing before work, empty the DW too so I can refill, will catch up a bit more later xxx
One day I might be more organised...........

DS2's room almost empty now so DH can do the prep in their tomorrow, I'll be popping to the JL sale and to try to get DS1 some school shoes.

Think I'll just check the online banking whilst I'm here.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a fab day yesterday, we had a lovely time, lovely food and lovely presents.
    Happy birthday Piggers

DS is being a bit of a pain as some people have bought him some things which are too old for him and he is getting frustrated! DD is being an angel but I'm sure she will revert to a monkey again at some point.:rotfl:

I got up to go to the next sale and spent another £250:eek: I think I have a problem as I couldn't sleep well as I was too excited about the sale, seeing as I have already done 2 orders for 300 each (have ordered 2 rugs and a desk for new house, not just clothes). Not sure I am :money:. Must just keep the things we really need, problem is DS has just shot up and most of his clothes look silly on his arms and legs.
I actually got a pair of jeans to fit, size 16 unfortunately, but the dieting can begin in the new year!:rotfl:

    Flying wise I have
hoovered and mopped through downstairs (am ashamed to say I found a spring onion on my dining room floor:eek:)
Have taken all toiletries upstairs and most of the toys as they can choose which ones are going to go into my seagrass baskets which we keep in the lounge,
Edible presents have been put in kitchen so i dont scoff just because they are there.
Have put Dh's new undies in drawers and got him to go through old ones and chuck some.
    DW loaded and unloaded.
WM x2 - I miss my TD, it's still in the garage waiting for a hole to be knocked in my kitchen wall and installed which will take time and money but I am sick of crispy clothes!

Now DD is up from her nap I can hoover upstairs as it is looking a bit skanky already, new black socks leaving bits on my cream carpets!
The bad weather has meant we couldnt visit my MIL today (shame) but we are going tomorrow instead (boo!)
Anyway I'm ramblling so enjoy the rest of the day everyone:A

    Afternoon all,

Happy Birthday to Pigpen! Hope you have a fantastic and luxurious day of pampering.

Had a nice day yesterday. Went to MIL's in the morning - she'd bought me some lovely silver jewellery from Pia, so I was really pleased, as had an awful present last year that I ended up giving away, and was worried about a repeat this time. Then we popped in to wish the Liberty family a Happy Christmas and a Happy Birthday to DS. Then off to my M&D for Christmas dinner. We all got lots of lovely presents - clothes, calendar, smellies and a facial voucher from sister which I'd asked for so that I can book myself some me time later in the term.

Today I've spent most of the day in bed, as started with a really sore throat yesterday and have been lacking in energy today. OH and I are just chilling out today and taking things easy as he's developed a cold too. Just watched Racing Stripes, which was really good. We're not going to dinner at M&D's tonight after all due to our bugs, so will need to hunt down some dinner at some point tonight, and the plan to go to Ikea this morning was cancelled as neither of us could be bothered to get up, and it's pouring with rain here.

Well I'm off to find a belated lunch now as breakfasted about 12ish so whole day is running late.

Big hugs to all who need or want them, and hope you all had a fantastic Christmas.
