I can't possibly catch up with 3 days gossip from your lot! Just dropped in to say

    Happy Birthday to Pigpen!

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are having a relaxing boxing day.

It took me 8 hours to get here (boring, but no real problems), all the rest of the family arrived safely, and we've had a lovely time. My brother's FiL is leaving today, and the rest of them tomorrow. I've just got to work out when I'm going to head back home... I'll be back at work (and therefore back on line!!) on Wednesday if not before. Thanks for all your messages about the journey, and I'll try to catch up with your news later

  • happy birthday Pigpen!

We had a brill day - kids slept in, everyone liked their pressies - turkey was fantastic (M&S organic, free range bronze about £50!!!)and everyone in good moods!

DD1 was well enough to get dressed up and come down for lunch - which made my day....and I had a snooze in bed with an audiobook whilst the kids watched a film! When I got up the washing up had been done!

And then an hour of Doctor Who.......

Haven't caught up with the thread, but just wanted to say

    Happy Birthday Pigpen!!

Hope you have a great day....

Had a great day yesterday, really relaxing and quite calm. Very civilised Christmas Eve with DD going almost straight to sleep, and again v. civilised 6am start yesterday morning. This is the usual time for DS to wake, so nothing new there - DD was in about five minutes later.

We did have tears before bedtime....well, actually at 12.45 (1 1/4 hours after I predicted DD would go nuclear)...but apart from that it was a lovely day.

Just off now to visit mum and dad - been invited to tea - but would probably appreciate a day here to be honest...never mind, we'll have a dressing gown day tomorrow.

Have done a couple of loads of washing - the washing bin was empty on Christmas Eve....couldn't shut the lid this morning (). Have done dailies too and I think this is how it's going to go for the next few days.

Anyway, best be off - have an enjoyable rest of the day...
    Take care
    D

    Afternoon all:)

    Happy Birthday Pigpen

    well yesterday went fantastically well:):T
Kids got up at 7am, and were delighted with their pressies:D
DD got DSI and games, TV/Dvd combi, DVDs, Watch and colouring in stuff.....

DS1 Got Ipod touch, speakers, soldering iron (which is all he wanted) and hair products and a No7 light up mirror (most on deals posted here:D)

DS2 Got a laptop and games and smellies and books

DS3 got the same as DD but in different colours......

One problem.....His tv didnt work so i brought it back to argos and they said we dont have any more of them.....you need to either wait until the sale is over and we check remaining stock OR buy a different one at more cost....GRRRrrrrrr

needless to say i told them that i would be ringing customer services and they asked me for my phone no.....manager wasnt in atm but to expect a call from him!

DS1 has around £200 for his birthday and xmas....so wants to go online tonight to design his own converse...he has spoken to some relatives in America who have said they will take delivery of them and repost them to him:) He is as happy as a pig in the proverbial:D

when all presents were opened and breakfast etc was over and done with we left at 11.30 to see DH....(I nearly forgot about the kids presents from him) but we packen a HUge Argos bag full of presents for him and went on our way to see him......The kids usually bicker and fight on the 30 mile journey when we visit....but yeaterday was the exception:) the roads were icy and I just said please dont fight or argue the raods are a little unsafe but we need to see daddy and i would really love it if you wouldnt annoy each other....they were FAB!!

DH got loads of smellies:) Digital photo frame (which I uploaded loads of pics throughout the year on) including DS2s 11+ results day in Feb....His first day in Grammer School.....all easter pics, holiday pics, halloween pics and pics of them getting their presents yesterday....It was amazing to watch DH concentrate on it he kept on saying Good, Yeah Good! he also got clothes and some music!!
We sat with him while he got his dinner and pulled crackers with him.....DD looked amazing in her dress (tkmax special) and her arms are really cleared up....her hair is getting long and she is growing up......to be so pretty!! Nurses all commented on the kids and took time to ask if santa came.....they really are wonderful!!

So we got home at 4.30 and I started on the dinner which was lovely....late but worth the wait....Cleaned up the kitchen and this never happens but DS1 asked if i wanted a hand...then they all asked if they could help....I said its christmas day and you have to enjoy it....So they sauntered off and when I had finished they presented me with my presents.......smellies, soaps, bath bombs and then ceramic decorations for the tree....it brought a tear to my eye!!

Today is gift opening day and will be preformed after dinner tonight:)
I cant wait to see their faces...I got them computer games...

Tony Hawks skateboard thing for the PS3 (for the boys as they are quite rough and ready)
And Singstar Disney With mics for DD....they will all share.....although DD wouldnt quite have the balance to use the skateboard thing although she will try!!

    Talk later

    love and hugs to all

Feeling a bit tired now lunch is done.

Going to cut up the turkey and freeze some.

Think I'll write the birthday's on my calendar this afternoon and we need to finish getting the stuff out of DS2's room.
