I use Aldis Bio these days - also the Happy Shopper one from the corner shop, and am impressed with both. I used to use the Tesco Value one in its old incarnation (no blue bits) and that was fine too! Some of the cheaper powders do clog up the drawer, but no way will I pay double the price for the 'Brand' washing powders - for one thing they smell too strong for me!
  • I just pour a kettle of water in the drawer, I do this anyway just keep it flushed through, I find Sainsburys cheapy the best myself .....

Aldi liquid 'Almat wash is great my hubby has sensitive skin and he's fine with it, last ages when you use the amount they recommend although I did once find my DD trying to fill the dispenser to the top as she thought that's what you had to do....not very MS

  • I found this use to happen with the vaule powder to use it up i would mix it up like a liquid before using. I changed to tescos own liquid after i had used it all up.
    :j
  • I always put washing powder into the drum rather than in the dispenser drawer.

How many people are using cold fill machines (a lot of newer ones are) ?- I find many powders, incl. the more expensive Bold etc., can also dissolve less well with cold fill! I did change to liquid but have more recently switched back to powder as I believe they clean better, despite a little clogging.
Would you be able to pour a little hot water in the drawer with it at the start?- just to use it up I mean, and then buy a different one. You could take it up with Tesco, never know some vouchers might come your way!
    All the best with bubs!

No problems - it's also helped me reduce the amount of powder used and still get a good wash. Just experiment to see whether it works best for your washer by putting the powder into the drum before or after the clothes. Works okay in my washer both ways (Bosch Exxcel 1400 Express).
