    Hi all,

Phew just getting caught up after a hectic weekend, the first busy one I've had for ages. Perth was great but flipping freeeeezzzzing! The hotel was lovely, when we eventually found it cos I had forgotten to print directions and we ended up driving right past it and going round in circles, I gave half the blame to Mr Swinstie though as he was supposed to remind me to print them ;)

I ended up ill on the Saturday night and we had an early night, it was totally nothing to do with the fish and chips, bread and butter pudding, lasagna and garlic bread, or even the half a dozen vodkas I consumed (during the day and night - not all at once), honestly it wasn't! I felt fine up until the last pub when I projectile vomited all over the toilet (and my boots) hence why this was the last pub we visited and made a very hasty exit from :o. We drove down the road on Sunday and stopped at Crieff for a cuppa (and a piece of caramel cake of course) and that was the end of a lovely weekend. Looking forward to a quiet one this weekend as although paid on Thursday, the money is not looking good this month (already).

I bought a little nautical t-shirt from Asda last night for £8 but thinking of taking it back, I really shouldn't buy when I'm unsure (or money is not looking good), I really can't help myself.

I have also nearly finished my mammoth clear-out (this is where I wish I had time to ebay). I have given away 2 jackets, 2 pairs of jeans and a tank top to my niece, threw out around 5 items of clothing and in the charity box is 106 items of clothing, 3 pairs of boots, 2 pairs of sandals, 5 bags and a coat (so far).

Everything is hung on an individual hanger in the wardrobe and I even have a spare drawer lying empty. I still have way too many shoes/bags but guess it's a work in progress. Still don't know how Gok says you should manage with 24 pieces!

Anyway going to try and catch up with some taped progs as think I am down to 20 hours on the V+ which means I have 60 hours to watch

Have a nice night all, and be good x
  • I have more than 24 dresses let alone managing on 24 items all together!

24 dresses!! Wow that's a lot, wish I suited dresses more, have a few but never feel comfy in them.

My friend handed in my birthday present last night (only three months late), wine and Ferreros (a box of 24), I have eaten every last one and I only opened them last night! I need help, can't stop eating, if I didn't know any better..........
  • :o Way more than 24...

I love them ! Skirts, jeans, t-shirts, clothes in general are my soft spot. A shop-a-holic when I have money to be honest. I havent bought anything for quite a while though.

I'd like a capsule wardrobe of just a few items - in theory! Doubt it would work in practice though. I don't really have that knack of using belts and things to ring the changes, I like clothes you can just put on without any faffing about. Pleased to say I haven't bought any clothes/shoes/bags this year so far and intend not to until 1 April. However, keep seeing lots of nice new spring stuff in the shops. Must resist!

Pay-day today and have sorted all my payments (even though not actually came off yet). Actual payment £652.64 but as I added £167.18 , my payment was only really £485.46 taking my total amount paid to £7,572 and my new total is now £6,999 (had to pay an extra £1 to get it under £7K) :j:j

Had no internet/tv or phone yesterday as there was a fault. Called V today and they said if I phone back tonight once it is fixed they will give me some compo, flipping right they will, I had to resort to watching a dvd last night, quite ironic as it was Confessions of a Shopaholic! Probably won't be much but every little helps.

Have only managed 7 NSD's this month (had aimed for 12) but it's better than nothing. Should be a quiet weekend as OH only coming down on Saturday, he suggested a take-away but I will just make the planned dinner from last night (he didn't make it down cos of the snow) and I have plenty of bottles of wine, enough to last me a few months anyway (I only have 1 or 2 max a month). Got loads of food in the freezer, got bananas to use up so will make banana bread. It's going to be a tight month again but at least de-cluttering has helped me not spend much and I've still loads to do.

Bought a plastic filing container through the works stationery cat (got company discount) so will organise all my paperwork, my house is now filled with plastic containers, I'm getting obsessed with storage, ha. Didn't end up throwing out my cassettes (not sure I mentioned that) but have condensed them from 4 small and 1 medium boxes to 1 large box, even played a couple and they still sound good. Used the 4 small boxes in my undie drawer and sorted all my undies, it looks very tidy and organised. Oh well lunch break over, better get back to the grindstone!

Well finally my internet and tv are working again! Only noticed the tv was back on about 10 mins ago, wonder if my programmes are taping, ha! Been watching Titanic, I love that film, and filing my paperwork. I have 10+ (small) bags of shredding surrounding my front door, hope I don't need to get out quick tonight. My filing box is lovely and I will make sure everything is filed once a week when required, still loads to sort and have chucked loads, just wondering though how long paperwork should be kept, if I kept everything I'd be over-run.

Hands are really dry with handling paper, hope not going to itch tonight.

Will catch up with your diary tomorrow SA (well done on becoming debt free though), as not had time the last couple of days! Nite all x

Hey Swinstie - sounds like you're keeping busy? That's fantastic news about your new total - it's only going to get easier from here on in :)

Good idea going through the paperwork, it can get very cluttered relatively quickly. I spent an hour going through our folder for 2009 last weekend and it felt quite cathartic. Finally managed to get all our payslips/contract documents/pension documents in chronological order and filed away. The one downside was the fact that I spent a solid 15 minutes at the work shredder a few days later and no doubt looked like I was somewhat dodgy. Edinburgher is dead - say hello to 'Miguel Sanchez'! :rotfl:

    Have a great weekend.
