Had no internet/tv or phone yesterday as there was a fault. Called V today and they said if I phone back tonight once it is fixed they will give me some compo.

87p!!! What a flipping joke that phone call was! That tiny little figure at beginning is what V were trying to fob me off with! The guy I spoke to last night basically lied when he said 'yeah we'll give you a refund of the time you were off service and a gesture of goodwill', cos all they were offering was 87p  Now I wasn't looking for much but come on, the price of the call he told me to make was more than that no doubt. I ended up speaking to a 'Supervisor' and ended up with £5, wonder what my boss (who was also off service) will get as he was promised £10 yesterday and is trying for more, bet he gets it to! I've just no luck with complaining :o

We're with V too and when our broadband was playing up I rang to complain. They said to compensate they were going to upgrade our package for free for 3 months. I was pleased with that until 3 months later the bill went up. I rang to query it and they said your 3 months free trial has finished. I shouted a bit and told them I never asked for a free trial I thought they had just given me 3 free months as a goodwill gesture!! They cancelled it and reimbursed me with the overpayment but they weren't very apologetic. I even threatened to go back to Sky but they didn't seem particularly bothered. Obviously I haven't got the technique right either Swinstie!

    Have a good weekend!

Yeah I know I'm a moaner (sometimes) but I'm not a complainer! I remember being charged £12 for going over my CC limit (after I had reduced the limit but forgot a bill coming off) and they refused to refund me (was with them for 10+ years) and someone I worked with used to get charges all the time for late fees, over limit etc., and just phoned up and got refunded every time. Makes me mad, we're just too nice SA!

Great to see you below the 7K mark!
Sounds like I should start making complaints- I can never be bothered as I don't expect to get anything!

  • The trick I think is to be extremely polite, and very firm. If you sound like you expect a result, and are very clear and conscise on what your rights are, and what you expect to achieve, a lot of the time you come away with a result. Make notes of your key points if that helps.

    Afternoon all,

Not been able to get on here all day as been so busy at work, flipping new system is doing my head in yet again but not to worry home-time soon. Getting my hair cut and dyed tonight, thankfully as have been insulted I don't know how many times the last two days.

First one, was my Mum telling me to hold my stomach in and saying I need to go to the gym! Eh, was there on Saturday, going tomorrow! What else is a girl to do?!

Then my roots were pointed out today, along with telling me I would't get a pair of hefty linesmen's boots on cos my calfs are too chunky! I had to laugh at that cos my legs are NOT big although admittently they are bigger than they used to be, ha! I got one of the guys back though as when I spoke to him he turned round and scowled and I told him he looked like Chucky! He wasn't amused, especially when nicknames can stick. That'll teach em!

So home-time in 15 mins, TF! Having a baked potato for dinner tonight, better miss out the butter I guess, cos I am a lard a$$!

    Morning all,

Got hair cut and dyed last night and it's looking rather red, I like it! None of the guys who insulted me yesterday are in today but when I came in this morning one of the other guys said I looked like I had been out all night! Nice, eh!

Looks like a better day today, the sun is shining, booked into the gym (nothing to do with being insulted of course), got dinner planned and it's all looking good.

Have a good one everyone x
