And here's another one just catching up! You sound as bad as me with boots. I've got 5 pairs of long boots and 6 pairs of ankle boots - and this is AFTER a sort out! I also have 2 pairs of boots that are on their last legs and have been re-heeled and re-soled so many times that I think I really should be retiring them. These are just laying around at the bottom of the wardrobe waiting for me to decide what to do.

    Have a great Valentines weekend!

I'm not saying anything - the answer is simply 'a lot' :)

The Hush Puppies I bought the last winter I was in Canada, they cost me $200 (which was a lot at the time)

It's still a lot. Actually, they're probably worth more now than they were then due to currency fluctuations! Any chance of selling them on, or are second owner shoes not 'done'? Personally I wouldn't buy a used pair of shoes, but that's a personal preference thing.

    Hi all,

It's Friday!! Only just over an hour to go til work is done for the weekend! Have to go to my mum's and pick up my sewing kit, bet it's flipping tiny! OH is coming down tonight so will get dinner prepared when I get home, need to try and sneak one of his Valentine cards into his jacket before he leaves tomorrow, was supposed to post it today but forgot to bring it to work with me. He always gets me a 'romantic' card and a 'dodgy' one, so it's my turn this year to do the same!

As for the boots, I think they will just go into the charity box, as I'm adverse to trying to sell things, I haven't got the patience, although I really should. Carboot sales put me off I think. I have actually bought shoes from ebay but they were new, don't think I'd buy second hand either!

Do you not know someone who would put them on ebay for you? and then you agree to give them a percentage as a thank you? You'll have to excuse me, but I'm obsessed with ebaying anything and everything and believe me there seems to be so many people happy to take my second hand shoes lol I've made 400 pounds in the last 2 months just getting rid of old junk. I once ebayed stuff for my gran. She ended up making 500 pounds! She tried to give me 10%, but because it was my gran I said no. Still if I'd taken it she would have still had 450 quid.

Just a thought. If I lived nearer you I'd do it for you lol

    Afternoon all,

Just had a nice pampering session i.e. a bath as going to OH's tonight, going out for dinner! Sitting here just now though with my moostache removing cream on, looking like a right wally, if only he could see me now....

Not holding out for any proposals this weekend or in Edinburgh, have given up hoping, we're happy right now, would hate to change it by me turning into a Bridezilla!

Abcynthia, so wish you could ebay my stuff, I wouldn't mind making a few hundred pounds, had a wee look on ebay at the selling part and did a mock ad, not really into it, it took me ages to think up something that looked vaguely inspiring for people to buy. It would take me hours to even list a few things. Don't know anyone who ebays apart from a guy at work, and I doubt he'd sell my stuff for me (even with commission)!

Anyway, my upper lip is starting to sting, hope my moostache is gone! Have a nice weekend and Happy Valentines to all, coupled up or single (I loved single Valentines nights, always guaranteed if you went out, you'd only meet single guys)!

Ok, the good news is, my moostache (and beard), yes I, Swinstie am the beared lady, is gone :j The bad news, I think I left the stuff on too long and I am now sporting a rather red and raw jaw and upper lip

It is flipping stinging, help! I'm hoping by the time I drive to OH's it has calmed down or else I will need to snog the face off him when I get to his and then blame the redness on his stubble, sounds like a plan to me. Also left my towel on my hair too long and it started drying into a weird position, I am not good at taking my time getting ready. Most of my best 'looks' have been done in half an hour. Hope it's dark by the time I meet him :D
