Hey Swintsie!
I live in fear that I'm going to suddenly turn broody and start that body clock ticking stuff!!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
I think the broody gene missed me Jellie! Never saying never, but I only met OH when I was 33 going on 34 so want to do loads IYSWIM! He already has a son who has just turned 18, and whilst I don't think he'd freak if I was expecting, I don't think he'd be over-joyed either, we've got loads of things we want to do together. That and the fact that I'd probably forget I had it and go to the gym or something! I'm not that cruel, honest!
Well I have made a good start on the room, have stripped the bed ready for new sheets and picked everything up off the floor, threw out some receipts and the like and put a few more items in the charity box. Someone mentioned ebay, think it was Kaz, but I'm not going to bother, too much hassle and I don't know anyone who ebays apart from maybe guys at work. Will just cut my losses, will feel richer knowing I have de-cluttered my life a bit, ooh how philosophical of me
I have a smaller pile of clothes now that I'm not 100% sure of so will try on again and if still not sure, they are going. I've got a lovely Oasis coat in powder blue that I love but can't button it (size 10), not sure whether to keep it or not, wore it to death when I bought it but not so much recently. Ok, away for my dinner to ponder the coat dilemma!0 -
I hope I'm missing the broody gene too- it certainly seems so at the moment!
Glad decluttering going so well. I've stalled a bit on mine!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Woohoo my room is starting to look like a bedroom again! Still not tried on any of the clothes, but did get rid of some jams, I had a whole drawer full of nightshirts and jams and only ever wore the same ones over and over (the comfy ones), so the drawer is now half full and will try and make a point of wearing everything. Anything not worn by the end of the year will then be chucked. Still got loads to do but at least I will be able to get into bed properly tonight, well that is if I get my butt off here and do some more tidying.
OH was telling me last night that he won yet again on his coupon/roulette so he is taking me away for the weekend the week after V-Day. I've talked him into Newcastle, ha! Will try and get a 'cheapish' hotel and go down by train for a couple of nights, should be a nice weekend away. I've told him only to pay what he would if we were going to Glasgow or Edinburgh which was where he was thinking. We can go there anytime though. Only ever been to Newcastle shopping at The Metro Centre, got flipping lost!!!
Sloping off for the nite now, as although I don't feel tired, my eyes are telling me otherwise and are starting to close. Nite all x0 -

I'd get yourself some own brand decongestants and wrap up warm, while taking enough vitamins and keeping hydrated. Hope you're feeling better soon, don't go wearing yourself out tidying
Meant to say edinburgher, I think I am very congested as my ears are really hurting. Got a voucher for a beauty place near me and thinking of getting the Hopi candle thingybob done, does anyone know if this is a bad idea if I have sore ears?? It says it can help but I'd be scared to make it worse!0 -
Why don't you do what I do if I'm not sure whether to keep clothes or get rid - I put them in a bag and after 6 months if I haven't slimmed into them then I let them go. It's sometimes suprising how little you remember things when they are out of sight.
How are you feeling now? I spent the night coughing away and as a result ended taking the day off work. Hopefully I'll be ok tomorrow though and at least I managed to get loads of little jobs done this afternoon after having a huge lie in. So much for the gym campaign this week but I'm not gonna beat myself up about it and just start properly when I feel up to it.0 -
Good idea Kaz, I've got a few things that are going if I haven't worn them by the end of this year, if I threw out everything I didn't wear after 6 months, I'd be left with nothing, ha!
Feeling better today maybe something to do with it being almost Friday, ha! I have the gym tonight at 6.30pm so home for 8pmish and since I haven't seen Grey's from last week (which is on tonight), I will NEED to get clean sheets on the bed and the room finished, I have no option as meeting OH in Glasgow tomorrow night so I won't have time to do it then. Oh how I wish for home-time!0 -
Hi ya hun
Sounds like you're doing wonderfully well with your decluttering, I really need to get my bum in gear and do it,think as soon as I'm down to my goal weight I will see what fits and what looks good and put everything else in a bag for a few months and then if I haven't wanted to wear them I'll chuck them away or ebay. Sorry you've been feeling a bit poorly too.0 -
Swinstie - the broody gene missed me too and I've got 2 kids!! They just sort of appeared! If anyone brings a baby into work I try very hard to look interested but draw the line at holding it. Your OH is getting far too jammy with his wins! At least he's treating you with it. Glad your'e feeling better today.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hi all,
Home from work at last and have decided to give the gym a miss again! This afternoon was really doing my head in with this new !!!!!!!g system, it's like banging your head off a brick wall. Then I come home go upstairs to shut the blinds and nearly break my neck on something lying on the floor, so I really need to get the house in order as going out tomorrow night then I will have OH under my feet all weekend, shouldn't really complain but you know what it's like when someone is getting in your way when you're trying to do something, ha!
I'm a real grump this afternoo aren't I, can't help it, even broke my diet and ate about a dozen biccies in work (and two mini mince pies), eek! Anyway going to tidy before dinner and switch the WM on, I actually put it in ten mins ago but it didn't switch on properly, sitting here thinking why is it so quiet in here!0
