Spanx is a body sculpting thingybob I seen on a show the other night, looks a bit like cycling shorts with a high waist which is supposed to cinch you in and give a smooth line. I already have a body shaper which I have just tried on under a jersey dress, I had more bumps than the Michelin Man! Not sure they work and at £30 I am having second thoughts! I was in Debenhams but was waiting on OH who was taking is sweet time, so ended up not trying them on, I'm at his next Sunday so might try them then. Only thing is I have a couple of dresses I'd love to wear but look like the Michelin Man in them, they fit, but cling in all the wrong places. I need help!

Anyway, I am so bored tonight, been watching Heroes from about 2 weeks ago but really should be doing some housework, the house is a riot just now and only I can fix it. Ach it can wait, more episodes of Heroes await me (and a lovely cuppa), nite all x

P.S. I am scared to work out my finances cos had a spendy weekend with nights out/take-aways eek!

It is I again, just been deleting stuff from the lappy and found a note I had written to myself about what I wanted to achieve by the end of 2009, I didn't do too badly but some things are best just left to fate :D

    By the end of 2009
[STRIKE]Go on a fab holiday with OH – already doing that in August![/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Get Virgin CC down to £3K [/STRIKE]Down to £500 – PAID OFF
[STRIKE]Transfer Virgin CC to another 0%[/STRIKE] Transferred to a 0% for 10 months
Keep on top of the housework so OH can see what a Domestic Goddess I am! - WIP

    By the end of 2010
Save for a European holiday for around Jun 2010, Portugal or somewhere cheap! – Booked!
Pay off car loan by Dec 2010 (15 months early, I hope) – Saved £1,250 so far!
Pay off 0% CC by Sept 2010 – In Progress
Get engaged – ahem we’ll see!
Save for a house with OH
Save for holiday to Mexico for sister’s 50th

    Next 5 Years (or by the time I am 40) – faint…..
Go to Canada for Christmas 2011
Go on holiday to Mexico for sister’s 50th (2012)
Go on holiday to Vancouver so OH can see bears (don’t ask)!
    Get a house with OH
Get married (or not, as I’m not too fussed about marriage)!
Might be too late for babies but hey if it happens…..

    Hey all,

Lists are great Claire, if you can stick to them! Mines is a little goal for myself but I can see where a few things might not happen, especially at the weekend when OH (mistakenly - so he says), said I was a pain in the aSSet! I never let him live it down and he is making it up to me by taking me for an overnight next weekend!

We were hoping for Newcastle, but have settled for a nice wee hotel in Perth. Have got a few things on right up until the summer, some costing a little, some a lot, so the plans are as follows:

    Overnight in Perth - February
A night at the theatre - March (a guy in my work is an 'actor', his plays are fab)
    A 40th Birthday Party - April
Our Anniversary - probably an overnight in Edinburgh (where we met) - May
    Holiday to Portugal - June
Pink Concert - end of June
Newcastle Weekend - July or August

OH paying for Perth night, theatre tickets only £8.50 (already paid), 40th might be a bit expensive to get to (prob a pressie too), Edinburgh will stay at a cheapy B & B, holiday paid for from savings, concert already paid for, so the only expense will really be Newcastle. Will try and get a cheap deal nearer the time and hopefully my clothing obsession will be broken so I don't end up at the Metro Centre :D

Work over in 10 mins, I really need to get straight home and get the room finished, almost broke my neck again falling over stuff, I really need another box cos decided I need to be ruthless with the shoes/handbags this time!

As you can tell, I have yet to start on the room! Not long home but gonna put some dinner on, speak to OH at six then head to the supermarket for a few essentials!

I've been bad and made a purchase off ebay, eek! Actually it's not that bad, bought myself a 100 pc sewing kit, was £4.25 including postage, seen a few cheaper ones but this contained everything I need. I had on my brown cami today that has the lace coming off, usually I would just buy a new one, but no, the new and improved Swinstie is finally growing up and mending her own clothes, as opposed to getting my Mum to do it for me. It's not that I can't sew, I've done hundreds of cross-stitches etc., I am just too lazy. I think my Mum thinks it's the only reason I visit, to get something fixed. I need to buy some of that trouser hem stuff though as my sewing is not good enough to fix hems.

    Ok, dinner here I come........

    Hi all,

Thought I'd better post as my own diary dropped to page two of my subscriptions! Not too much been happening, been run ragged at work with this new finance system, it's getting better but unfortunately for me, the girl who I need to ask for help from the most is basically a torn-faced moo! She has yet to crack a smile (but laughs with all her colleagues), snaps the head off everyone (glad it's not just me) and is so patronising it's unbelievable. I have one more thing I need to ask her and hopefully will never need to speak to her again. She's very good at what she does and knows the system inside and out, but her attitude stinks, she makes another supposed rottweiler in work look like a puddy cat!

Anyway rant over, and breathe!! Took a half day yesterday (system annoying me and wanted to finish bedroom) so I went to B&Q and bought a huge container to put in the wardrobe for shoes and bags, I actually may need another slightly smaller one but won't buy it just now. Room is looking a lot better if you look in from the door towards the window, just don't turn around, ha! Got baked potato on for dinner then will get started yet again. Missed the gym tonight as well, as had to pick up an urgento prescription from the doctor then wait at the chemist. *whispers incase any men reading* - ladies' problem ;)

Almost two weeks til payday and feeling really skint this month, was aiming for 12 NSD's but have only had one so far, just has been really spendy. Not been making my lunches for work, have food in but just been getting up late and had no time, that's a poor excuse but I'm trying. OH will be down on Friday, got dinner planned from freezer then he is taking me for dinner on Saturday, well I'm hoping he's paying cos I am el skinto!

Can smell tattie cooking away, better go and grate my cheese.....

Last post of the night as I really need to get a good nights sleep. STILL going through my wardrobe, onto shoes/boots/trainers and bags now and spending far too long trying stuff on and being indecisive. I have two pairs of black longish boots, one pair of black stiletto boots (which I hardly wear as they cripple me) and one pair of black calf length Hush Puppies. Now the longer ones I am keeping (one pair of Clarks which I bought before Christmas and are super comfy), the other F&F ones with a heel which are comfy for a wee while.

The stilettos are a bit tight fitting (ok once on) but are high and pointy, am I too into my comfort to keep them?? The Hush Puppies I bought the last winter I was in Canada, they cost me $200 (which was a lot at the time) and are nice from the front but from the side it looks like I am standing on two half bricks :rotfl::rotfl: They have block heels which if I'm honest I've never loved, but I feel bad for getting rid of them! Where is Gok when you need him?? I NEED GOK'D!!!

Ach I'm off to bed, I will sleep on it and decide in the morning! Nite all x

P.S. I also have tan boots/brown boots/grey boots so I am not short on boots :D
