Snoooooooooooow

Absolutely chucking it down up here in snowy Scotland, with worse forecast for tomorrow.

Proper winter wonderland, I love it......:D

(and now the on-topic bit);)

This should be the one of the busiest days of the year for pubs, bars, restaurants and clubs as everyone has their work night out, and this weekend should be the busiest for shopping as the last weekend before X-Mas.

Can't remember the last time it snowed this heavily on the key retail/leisure days before X-Mas.

You'd think it must have a negative impact in some way.....

I'm feeling smug, have finished my Christmas shopping - a whole week before Christmas, never before in history.

On the other hand I still have a fair bit of driving to do over the next week. Still, the congested roads I operate on won't be anything like the snowy wilds of Scotland.

It'll be good for the skiing industry, if no-one else. :)

    I've barely started yet!!!!!!

Actually that's not true, I've done most of it online this year, but I haven't done my usual last minute "drag the wife around the shops dropping hints as to what I want whilst trying to figure out what she wants" bit yet.

She wants a motorbike in fairness, but I'm sure as hell not going out in this weather to buy one and ride it home, so that may have to wait for her birthday.

Half of my businesses are up in the wilderness, it's pretty, but it's REALLY painful to drive around to them in winter.

:) We're having a tiny Christmas....I chose some bath stuff from lush for our yummy shared baths while DH is off and because I can't think of anything I want I suggested we just wait until I do...I don't want stuff for the sake of it., he's got a couple of second hand books I hope he'll like and some marzipan fruits he found because he went rummaging in my handbag......and um, oh yes, a small picture frame for his desk.. money for nieces, something I knew my parents wanted, small gift for each....and thats it really. A couple of bottled for other people, but no huge gift or massive of little stuff (I cannot find out stockings to hang anyway.)

I did want to get him a ar radio but the garage couldn't fit it next week, so have left it, and will buy in the NY.

    ;)

You bring a whole new meaning to "dreaming of a white christmas"..... ;)

Not to mention that for most people, "Christmas coming early" is considered a good thing.....

Wonder what my two would think if they woke up Christmas morning to find an orange, a walnut, a sweet and a piece of coal waiting for them.

Article in our paper tonight about how much the snow today has cost businesses around the county.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
