Xbox 360 bought nov 2006, broke with rrod 22 months later, repaired and again rrod 2 weeks ago.Replacement not repair this time arrived from microsoft last week.

i have had my 360 for 2 years and it got 2 red lights in april. it may not have been 3 red lights but it had the same effect in that the console would not work. it was repaired very quickly so i cant complain about the repair service.
my ps3 is only 8 months old and so far it has worked fine. the only issue at all was it froze once while i was playing uncharted 2. i dont like the way the power cable fits into it, i think i will have trouble there in the future.0 -
Of course I would. But for my tastes, the Xbox 360 has a better games catalogue, so I'm prepared to put up with whatever problems it has in order to play the games I want to play.
regarding the side debate on which is the best to get. the only answer to give is that both are essential and if you dont have both you are losing out.0 -

It would be nice to have both, and I might pickup a PS3 at some point (at least they're not so horribly expensive any more).
There aren't that many PS3 exclusives I'm desperate to play though. The Uncharted series looks cool, and my daughter would really love Little Big Planet, but aside from that, I'm OK for the time being.0 -

Have you had it for less than three years?0 -
One vote for a broken Xbox here. DVD drive failed after 11 months. Free repair (obviously) back within a week, plus one month's free Gold Live membership for the trouble."...IT'S FRUITY!"0

uncharted 2 is a great game it is my joint favourite game with gears of war 2. as one is exclusive to the ps3 and the other to the 360 that makes both worth having. as far as ps3 goes killzone 2 is very good as well.0 -

I've never played the Gears of War games, though I've been meaning to check them out. The first one is available new here for $20, which is pretty good.
My favourite game is probably the Half Life 2 series. The Orange Box at £13 has to be the best value package there is at the minute.
Though, I hear the PS 3 version isn't so hot performance-wise.0 -
