I obtained some good quotes but when I tried to confirm and buy I would have had to commit to six months life insurance cover, at £4 per month, that I do not need. This and the apparent difficulties in securing the £25 cashback made me look elsewhere.0

am not sure what you done jon but that diddnt happen with me,i did my my £25 back also i got it about a week or two after the email,it was also the cheapest for my car insurance which as a driver for a very short time is cracking,to the person that said it look like they hike the prices up to make up for the £25 i dont know how you can come to that conclusion because even going straight through other insurers would have been a hell of a lot more expensife for me.
All in all using beat that quote was a bonus for me,even if i did have to wait it was worth it for me,i have only been driving (passed my test) for less than two years and got my insurance for just over £300 with beat that quote,so all in all a good experince. It`s getting to the point0 -
@ jon1x - not too sure why you would have been pressured into taking life cover. Do you know which insurer this was from? I would be only too happy to speak to them about this! The cashback is not a difficulty - it just takes a little while as we need to get confirmation from insurers that a policy is in place
@ iMacThere4iAm - the prices you see on our site should be the same as going direct (assuming, of course, exactly the same information is used to produce a quote). Once again, if there are specific insurers which seem to be charging more on our site, then I would be keen to know. There may be small differences between sites, but that is often down to different questions that are asked on different sites.“Official Company Representative

My quote seems to be the opposite way around, when i go directly thru swift its £619, but through BTQ its only £609 and then £584 with the cashback....0

Well I've gone with BTQ after triple checking my quote to make sure all the details were correct. Lets see how long it takes to get the cashback0

Took my insurance out with Beatthatquote yesterday. I have the password to login. The quote details are there but should I see any confirmation that I took out the insurance? Or should I receive an email to confirm I took out the quote through them?
It would be nice to have some confirmation of the cashback amount too incase it decreases from £25 at a later date.0 -
@ Nick_sub - I'm assuming you actually bought the insurance yesterday? If that's so, we won't know about this until next month as the insurers report back to us after the end of the month.
You should have got (assuming it hasn't ended up in your spam mail) an email confirming your quote, but it won't refer to your policy.
And as for the amount - we base it on the day you did your quote, so if the amount were to change your claim would still be for the amount you saw originally.“Official Company Representative

Thanks for your quick response. Yes I did buy the policy yesterday and received the quote confirmation email (it went into spam initially but I found it after reading this thread). I just wondered if I should receive some sort of confirmation but you have put my mind at rest - thanks.0
