Not sure what I'm doing with it yet, in a bit of a "transitional period" right now. Should know after christmas thoDFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kitten and my hat :heartpuls

Wooohoooo!
Payday tomorrow, and I've just paid off a debt! Yeehah! I've beaten my target before December's payments are made, so by the 31st I'll have smashed it :):)
Also.... my cheque from Cap1 arrived, and I banked that big boy today. Next up, Nationwide. Come on!DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kitten and my hat :heartpuls

Well done PP, great end to the year :jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0"Do what others won't early in life so you can do what others can't later in life"0

Well this is it, end of the year. On balance, glad to see it go!
Moneywise, I've had an ok year. Two weekends away - ok so one was in England, but it was with a fab DFW'er Had two payrises, claimed back £469 bank charges and paid off almost £4.5k of debt. MSE definitely transformed my year - I would probably only have paid off half of that as I was coasting along not really caring too much.
Met some pretty great, and some pretty strange! people on here too, so yay MSE. Set myself a target in June to get down to £17750 owing by Dec 31st - today. I'm proud to say that I smashed that target by £511.24 :):)
My new target is to be at £15000 by Jun 30th 2007. It'll take some doing if I move out before then as I plan to, but I'm going to give it a damn good go. Plus once I'm under £15k I can snigger at those dumb radio adverts saying there's a magic cure for debt if you owe more than £15k
I've bought myself a shiny new notebook for 2007 to list spending (yeah, that'll last about a week) and monthly totals. Determined to get going this year. I'll be turning 27 and I don't want to be in debt and miserable forever!
Aims:
Move out
Hit target
Set another target!
Get over the ex (:()
Pass my exams
Get a payrise for passing my course
Start making tshirts with C - Then we'll screw 'em all, etc
Get a bit fitter and healthier
Claim back some more charges - watch out Nationwide
Go out next NYE...
Happy New Year everyoneDFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kitten and my hat :heartpuls

Well, two weeks in!
Just done a mystery shop for a sandwich place, and it was lovely
I really REALLY wanted to buy the boxset of Prison Break but it was £45. Technically it would have been within budget as I've not spent much money this month, so I resisted. Instead, I bought 2 cds for £11. Wooh, bargainous. If you're interested I got Jeff Buckley - Grace for £4 and a double album box thingy of Kings Of Leon - Youth & Young Manhood/Aha Shake Heartbreak for £7. Very happy with those
I got my statements back from Nationwide last week and sent off my first letter for £900ish charges. I know they usually wait til the court stage to pay up, which suits me as interest will take it up to £1200 :j :j Looking forward to getting my sweaty paws on that!
Flat/room hunting is kind of static at the minute. Really frustrating, I want to MOVE!!!
